Trust me - this is a brilliant signing for us and it will be Duff's influence and judgement which has brought him to us, so well done, MD. This is a player Duff will know well and also how he wants him to fit into the 352 system which he will routinely employ as our default. If the signing of a couple of strikers follows in the same mode with Duff calling the tune, I will be well pleased. Now, how about Sam Smith from Cambridge United? What chance? The sort of player who has proved himself either at League One level, or outstanding at League Two and who Duff judges will make the transition with ease. Good enough for me. As long as we can get the strikers in, this looks as though the good days may be on the way back. Well done, manager and board. Great.
I can't wait for him to be mint and Hemmsy to start pointing out all the ways he's actually somehow crap.
I wonder if he arrived in an electric car, demanding a vegan pre-training meal and is currently googling 'house for sale in Monk Bretton, south facing roofs with loads of solar panels'?!?
No issue with the two year contracts. There are still not many clubs paying transfer fees, so the idea of signing a player on long contracts with an idea of selling for a profit hasn't worked at all for us.
With respect. Have you bought a season ticket. If so, why , When you have already deemed this the worst transfer window ever. ? If not. why. ? why go to all the trouble of investigating this and that, Why do you go to the lengths you do to criticise the NEW board in how the club will operate in future. Without giving em time to prove themselves. ( no matter how you paint it. It isn't Conway at the Helm) Slag off most signings. Before they've even kicked a ball for the club. Some Players invariably perform better. Some worse. depending on the structure of the team. But you've already made your mind up. ?. I'm definitely more optimistic of a better season ahead. Than I was at the end of last. That doesn't mean promotion at the first attempt. That would be a big bonus. Others have renewed that were wavering because they are probably more optimistic going forward. (Or got back the bug) You appear to me the ultimate pessimist.
It was 30 degrees yesterday with barely a cloud in the sky amd you took it upon yourself to watch a 10 match highlights package of one particular Forest Green Rovers player so that you could points score? Jamil Adam Kern Miller
It was scorching at the Worksop game the other week and I saw the lad you’ve just replied to at the game wearing baggy jeans and a Helly Hansen-like winter coat on, felt bad for him, I couldn’t handle the heat and I had shorts on! Was the first time I’ve ever seen him in person and from now on I’ve decided to never rise to anything he says and take everything he does say with a pinch of salt as I think the lad isn’t all there if you get what I mean. Bless him.
He was out of contract and 25, so should definitely have been free, unless the rules have changed a bit? Think if he was 24 or under we would have had to pay compensation - as long as they offered him a contract. Bit like what we did with Palmer and Big Vic
