I know they have just had some dispute.....today saw the outcome. Soup up from 95p to £1.40....small tin beans n sausage, 75p to £1.20.

Only things I can accurately place as bought last week but I'm sure everything else has gone up the same .......happy days

Branston is not even in the same league as Heinz. if Heinz is premier league Branston is barely conference north.

Many of their prices match Aldi. Some of their weekly clubcard offers beat Aldi.

I'm no Tesco fan. I don't shop there often. But they have a petrol station I sometimes use and I have a clubcard as part of my credit card, so I occasionally call in for bits when I get fuel. It's not like it used to be for a lot of stuff, you can shop there on a budget. There's stuff that is more expensive, particularly their finest range, but there's plenty of stuff that isn't.

I can't understand why anyone with a car shops at Lidl. If you live in the town centre and you walk there, then fair enough (Barnsley centric) . But every item is 10 or 20p more than at Aldi.

I went in Marks and Sparks the other day. First time in 10 years, maybe more. I'm not daft, I knew it was going to be expensive. But I was off work, I was going to spend the day lying in the sun in the park and I felt like treating myself: some fresh juice, maybe some fancy biscuits or cake, a pie or some chicken wings. F*** me! Take any Aldi item and add 3 or 4 quid. Un f***ing believable. I left with nothing, glaring at people and muttering expletives under my breath, which I'm still doing. It would have cost me a day's wage to buy some lunch.

It amazes me how people can afford to do a full shop at Morrison or tesco let alone m&s, during lockdown I went to jacks to do my weekly shop at the stairfoot tesco they have a covered walkway thing must be 100m long they were queuing up and down it and a bit more just to get in and I just walked into jacks I thought what do they sell in there you can't get in here and the only conclusion I came to was branded goods.

When this story was relayed to *Insert any Tory Leadership candidate* live on LBC this morning. He/She said, ‘Although I understand completely with this person, we are doing all we can to help by reducing the taxes we have put up recently which gives every family another £300 per year in their pockets. The cost of living crisis is because of Ukraine which we are leading the world in supporting.

Don’t forget our Vaccine roll out which was the best in Europe for a day in December 2020.

What I would say to this person as I have done to many on the doorstep recently, is you could get a better job.

Just imagine anyway if that ‘cultural Marxist’ Corbyn would have got in.

    Strong and Stable.

Also Angela Rayner keeps flashing her fanny at me in the commons.

I'm sure you can find them for 12 quid on Amazon, but there are literally dozens of cheaper options. £3 was the first on the list when I just went on, screen shot below

In a recent survey, Lidl Newgate Beans and Morrisons own brand came out top in a blind test.
Heinz came below Branston in the test test, was highlighted as the most expensive tested.
Both Branston and Heinz were also criticised for their high sugar and salt levels.

Got mine from lidl mate yesterday noticed the price and bought em. As I say i was quoting 6 packs (not 4) for £3.49
The amazon one I looked at. Was because I was looking for an ale once as I couldn't get the brand I wanted before it allus sold out in supermarkets.
Extortionate. And didn't buy. Just pointing out I cannot believe anyone would buy every day grocery items via that company.

I buy Aldi beans, 4 for a quid. Heinz beans are mostly juice.

Having said that, they've all got way too much sugar in them. And the reduced sugar beans are awful as it shows up just what crap ingredients they all use when not masked by half a bag of sugar. When I can be bothered I make my own.
