On a free he’s worth taking a chance on IMO, at his last season at Tranmere I believe he was the top goal scorer in the English leagues. With his experience he would be a decent presence to have round our young strikers too, similar to how Sollbauer helped the likes of Andersen, Sibbick etc in defence.
We all make mistakes. On that basis Maradona should never had a career. Tony Adams should never had captained England. Paul Merson shouldnt have earned an England cap. Ps you didn't answer my question. Have you ever drove when under the influence? Either that night or the morning after? I'm not advocating it but I'm sure I might be guilty of doing it over the years. Not big or clever, just been honest.
He had had 2 pints by all accounts. Bet plenty have driven on 2 pints and thought they would be fine.
I don't drive. Of course mistakes get made but it's twice he's been convicted of the same thing. https://www.stroudnewsandjournal.co...-for-19-months-after-admitting-drink-driving/ If we sign him I hope he's a success and not another Keith Treacy who was a let down for us because of drink issues.
I'd sort of guessed you didn't. Listen to the Undr The Cosh podcast with Treacey. It may sway your thought process of why some people struggle and end up on the wrong path. Ps how old are you not to have not drive. Just interested that's all. You don't have to tell me like.
Just spoke to someone at work who is an Ipswich fan. He says he’s been hampered with injuries in his time there but generally still scored goals. Looking at his stats, I’d say this is pretty on the money. Also says he likes a beer or 2… Hopefully we can keep him fit and give him a good run of games. Natural scorers aren’t easy to come by so I’d be okay with this. Particularly if we have wing backs pinging the ball in to the box regularly.
Every signing is somewhat of a risk, especially in our position (and that of most of the clubs in the football league). An experienced striker who's not afraid to put it about and loves a bit of shithousery would seem to be fairly high up the list of players who would make us more effective at winning football matches.
Cant believe it, was at skirlington market on sunday, talking to a lad from Felixstowe was up Holidaying, he teld me an r lass he'd heard we wer in for him, wiart hearing ought on ere r fort it was b o llox, Wow, cant believe it, just goes to show, wo'd a fort it.
He’s denied the charge and is contenting it. He’s mentioned exactly what’s happened on an interview on YouTube called 90 minutes with James Norwood
I assumed he'd be a complete nutcase, but he comes across extremely well in interviews. Articulate and refreshingly honest.
In the same interview, also mentions about helping out the younger players etc if they are wanting to learn
