Like that, best we've had in years imo, the one with the bricks on a couple of seasons ago was a abomination,
I'm torn on this issue because it was my first thought too. It looks really nice but for the money charged I can't help but think what is there to separate it from a training shirt? And as sad as it maybe the thing that separates it is the sponsor. Looks really really good without the sponsor though but hard to justify the money without it despite how wrong that sounds. Back of the shirt looks awful tho imo because of the placement of the sponsor too close to the number
The last part will only be an issue for the 1st team shirts. Much valued Club Partner, Parliament, will be emblazoned on the back of all first team shirts, with the British Red Cross logo also incorporated into squad numbers and lettering. previousnext
It’s an okay shirt, nothing special and tbh it’s pretty much the same design as Man City’s new shirt albeit our crest isn’t in the middle… Shorts and socks are very basic and dull, was sorta hoping we’d have hoop socks, we tend to do good with them! It’s concerning we’re now 2 weeks away from the season and have no sponsor, as much as I think sponsors kill shirts it’s money for the club at the end of the day and to not have one so close to the season is very strange.
Noticed another side didn’t have one the otherday too but can’t remember who? Tbf I’d love football shirts to be sponsor-less especially when most sides these days are sponsored by gambling firms. I don’t think we can afford not to have a sponsor on our shirts though sadly, especially this season when we’re basically skint and need all the money we can get.
Round necks (especially tight football round necks) really don’t flatter anyone. Put one on David Beckham and he’d still look better in a v neck. I don’t mind a collar or not. It’s just that round necks are awful to look at, awful to play in. Thought the new Man City shirt was horrible when it came out - it’s basically the same lazy design.
Well that's the nicest kit in my lifetime without a sponsor. Sadly it will ruin it when one's added. Plus I simply can't afford £48 for that. I'd rather have two match tickets.
So is this for sale without the sponsor? Or if we preorder are we gonna end up with one with a sponsor on? Not really clear to me from the website.
I will give it 8 out of 10. Why can’t we go back to a completely red shirt like in the 50s and 60s. Allegedly so the red did not run into the collar and cuffs when washed turning them pink. I think the last time we had a shirt like that was in 2009 for the FA Cup semi-final v Cardiff. And before anyone says anything , nostalgia isn’t what it used to be.
Its not clear mate because even they don’t know. They’re struggling to find anyone to sign up, therefore they’ve purposely been extremely vague about the whole thing.
You are 100% correct. my excuse has got to be us oldies can remember clearly what happened years ago but forget what happened yesterday.
