Haven’t seen him other than clips, but I believe some very big clubs were after his signature. He did very well last season in the academy. Could see him making some appearances this season.
Not seen him play myself but would imagine he will need more time to develop and grow out. He is only 16 so probably not ready just yet to be thrown into a tough and physical league like L1. Super glad he has signed new deal here though, seems like he had a lot of interest so well done Bobby and the team for getting him to stay!
Well done bfc only heard good things about this young lad. Sone big premier league clubs were sniffing round him this summer
Why the secrecy over the length of the contract? It's a coup for us and a surprise as we thought you had to be seventeen. If he's good enough he's old enough so I expect to see him on the bench from game one.
Guessing it won't be a long term contract with no details being offered. Still protects us a bit as the Prem clubs are circling.
Like to see him get a few run outs in the Papa John’s trophy if nothing else. If he sticks in 3 past their under 21s then maybe Moneybags Newcastle will pay us big bucks for him.
Heard some great things about him - hopefully see him.at some time. Just need to be quite a few seem to pick up injuries if introduced too early
He played the second half against Guiseley and seemed light years ahead of the other strikers in that game ie. Aitchison & Marsh. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets quite a bit of game time this season, probably alongside someone experienced like Norwood maybe.
Nice to see some promising kids around the squad! Jalo, Marsh, Ackroyd, Wolfe. Young Dyer in the pipeline too! Good that the academy is producing some attacking players. Hope some make it!
I was listening to the Undr the Cosh podcast with Kevin Campbell again the other day (I know it’s old, it’s just my favourite) and he said that Rooney was physically a man at 14. That might be why he was ready for grannies at 24 but anyway… if Jalo is strong enough I’d like to see him given a chance.
So did Ruben Noble Lazerous ( 15 actually ) & that did not quite pan out as we hoped , but to me it is obvious the lad is talented but the physicality of the game & game management are key to his progress & certainly fans expectations etc all play a part in his development , handle with care is my message
