    greed greed and more greed' there isn't a single one of em that hasn't got more money than they could ever spend in theirs or their kids lifetimes' what happens in a few years if the saudi well runs dry?' they should be told in no uncertain terms that they can't play in any majors or ryder cups for the next 10 years at least...Would love it to be another kerry packer 2 year wonder...

    Golf isn't the first and won't be the last sport to split. I think LIV players shouldn't be touched. The main two tours should black list them and carry on as normal creating new stars. The last two major winners are much more well known now than they were beforehand. The sport will keep creating new marketable talent from winning the big events.

    Is it just the fact it’s Saudi money that we are bothered about? Otherwise isn’t it like the BDO and PDC?

    I think to many people it's the Saudi money that's the real problem. personally don't have much of an opinion on the format side of it.

    It’s also another shot at the iconic events in golf , in my opinion it’s no coincidence that they chose to start the tour a few weeks before one of the biggest historical events in golf since the 100th Open Anniversary , Stenson wouldn’t normally be someone they would target given his recent form but as Ryder Cup Captain to get him would be another disruption to an iconic event . It’s a blow that Cameron Smith is going but not until after the Presidents Cup along with a few more , apparently

    Exactly this. Stenson is finished as a golfer really, in terms of competing for wins at the best events, so why target him?

    Because he's the Ryder Cup captain and it gets them the PR and disruption the Saudi's and that irritating git Norman crave. It's not just the money aspect, it's the disruption they're deliberately causing to the game. There's no morality or respect where they're concerned. I've never wanted something in sport to bomb as much as this. I'd take the LIV Tour failing even if I had to endure another decade of Leeds United in the Premier League.

    The Saudi regime are pretty horrible (I know understatement) but no one’s complained very much about the guns and bullets we sell them….some fellas go play golf and there’s nigh on death threats…. Sone other golfers who are holier than though all played in Saudi this year anyway!
