A lot of assumptions made in the BFC adaption of War & Peace with the biggest assumption that Morris who came across as a very honest professional footballer that he was conning us & the club by feigning injury twice , if he reads this I hope Mr Goulet has got a good lawyer or has 100% proof that what he states is true ? either way I find the comment unbelievable .
To be fair, I think there's substance to this. Didn't play in any of the friendlies either and was at the golf course during one of our games at the end of the season I think? Gut feel with Morris is he completely checked out on Barnsley Football Club as a place he wanted to continue his career.
I agree with him the squad is a rwb, cm and a couple of strikers short. Out of cole iseka, marsh jalo and norwood there isnt many goals in them sorry to say.. after norwood and cole our best hope is a 16 year old.
Pretending to be injured is a big accusation especially when the accusation is that he did it on more than one occasion , surely trained medical staff at the club would have to be hoodwinked , people may suspect players of doing this but actually having the proof that he did is a different kettle of fish .
Agree. And feigning injury might be too aggressive. But suggesting you're feeling tight and shouldn't be risked is probably something that happens a lot in football when you're trying to protect your body.
Jesus are you available for after dinner speeches or christening or bahmispha. ******* Christ on a bike . I didn't think it was that bad .
I don't think he is RAC - I think that's his mate. Either way, he has someone on the inside at Oakwell so what he writes is probably not far wrong.
Ah fair enough i thought it was RAC on a diffrent name as i think he got banned but yes definitely knows someone close to the club.
Don't be daft, Carlton Morris is not going to sue someone for posting on here that he was feigning injury. I said at the time, I didn't have a problem with him supposedly refusing to play - he gave it absolutely everything right up to the point we were relegated, including playing through pain and injury and bollocking the other players who weren't giving it their all. He earned his move away and if he wanted to check out of some dead rubbers to preserve it then I don't blame him (especially given his injury record).
Well in 50 years of watching BFC . I can honestly say I have seen better days. However I can also say I have seen far worse. Here's hoping the new board because I think their heart is in the right place as I trust in Crynes as fans and owners. They will ultimately give it their best shot in memory of what was achieved by Patrick.
I don’t believe we’ll be anywhere near the top end of the table. The squads unbalanced with us having way too many centre backs & having nowhere near the quality required up top to score the goals needed. Right now I don’t think we’ll be far off the drop zone. Having spoken to someone who knows what he’s on about with connections to the club I’m very pessimistic about next season. He says the club will have a top half wage budget due to the players under contract but that all the new signings are on wages the smallest clubs in the division can afford. I knew we’d have to balance the books but I didn’t realise just how much money had been wasted last summer.
I hardly anticipate the Crown Prosecution Service bringing henceforth Goulet vs Morris People make up bigger claims on here on the daily and nothing ever happens.
In Reality think what was spanked up the wall on the 2 strikers that featured in a dozen games between them. Conway needs to answer that one.
The insinuation is that he has done it on more than one occasion and because key board warriors think they have carte blanch to type what they want does not make them above the law , you can call me daft if you like but it is not right to make accusations with out having proof .
I doubt the CPS will , but does it make it right to go about accusing people of things with out proof ?
Oulare on 7k a week 3 year deal was it? Worst decision in bfc history and iseka not been much better. Were still playing catch up from last summer window that set the club back years. Not to mention the 2 clowns he appointed
Unfortunately this is in reality what we're left with. Good luck for the lads this season your going to need it. At least we have trusted coaches in the dugout we're going to need them. Plus the fans to back them in a very difficult season.
