Good memories from Plymouth myself through the years hopefully make more when we go again a week on Saturday COYR
Werent it v plymouth at home when rory fallon had moved to them and when he got subbed off the ponty clapped him and he turned to clap them back which put him under a trance and he went and sat back in our dugout like he used to! only to realise a few moments later and had to do the walk of shame over to the away dugout!
Did anybody go there for the boxing day game at the end of '90. What an awful away fixture for us ehh, at Christmas.
Me and the lads were camping in Newquay for a few days. Think it was day 4 by the time we got the train to Plymouth on match day in our silly Hawaiian shirts and some of us were, struggling, shall we say after an awful lot of drinking. Without going into too much detail I had a bit of a dicky tummy and therefore missed Hammills screamer as it coincided with me sh1tting my last in the gents, in a cubicle that wouldn’t lock. The indignity. I probably missed more than what I saw that day but thankfully saw the Campbell-Rice winner. Although if memory serves results elsewhere were going our way by then anyway.
I wasn't there, but I can remember watching the goals on Sky Sports News the following morning, while having my breakfast. Nearly spilt my coffee when I saw Disco's second. What a strike that was! Highlights are here, for anyone who wants to see it again.
If my memory serves correctly the Cudworth supporters tried to charter a plane to fly from Leeds Bradford airport. I vaguely remember attending a meeting at The Dards and paying a deposit. I can’t remember why it didn’t happen in the end.
That was a good weekend. Ran out of fuel in the mini bus going North on the M1 picking everyone up at daft o’clock. Woke up th manager of the Sunday League team to get us some fuel from Bob Thomson’s then off to Plymouth.
I like the idea of our fans flying to an away match lol. And there wun't be a problem parking if we had our own plane.
