Like them weird folk from the wrong side of the Pennines: "Have you not never been to Chorley?" WTF. Neanderthals
I didn't start the rumour I don't care about the rumour and I don't believe he's fked off, like many what's the hold up, its got that annoying you'd think we were signing Roberto Carlos ( in his younger days) but surely today's the day.
Did he struggle at crewe and ross county? I think ill wait to write him off untill he plays a game but you could say similar for nowood mostly scored goals in league 2 released by ipswich but ill judge them when they kick a ball.
Anyone know what is going on with this Ramsay signing or whoever it actually is that was in for a medical last week? I know Barnsley are sometimes a little slow to announce stuff but seems odd that still not been done unless it has fallen through. The Garrison thing the other day would have been the perfect time to announce it, that or just before the game Saturday.
It isn't just Barnsley. It's Citeh, Arsenal, Chelsea and Fulham. Even the new West Ham striker is 'announced' without actually signing on the dotted line, which means it could go wrong at any second. Growing trend at the minute for terms to be agreed with a player and announced, without the clubs coming to an agreement. Granted at a higher level to us so we're more aware, but most behaviours filter down the divisions just without the media presence.
Won't get blabbering from me. But happy to point out incorrect rumours so they don't spread like wild fire. What was the made up one the other day? We're touting Helik around for £1m and desperate to sell?
We haven't announced anything though? I know those clubs go early and announce the deal is in place before its fully signed and then announce it again once fully signed, but we haven't announced anything about this one yet. Nor do we ever follow that pattern, we usually wait till it is all done then announce. Just trying to work out what the latest is with it, Duff said someone was in for a medical Friday which is usually to my knowledge, one of the latter parts of the signing process. We are now on Tuesday and we have no announcement yet which to me seems a little odd unless it has possibly fallen through . Blackburn for example had Brittain in for medical on the Wednesday and then was announced the following morning.
Not sure why people are getting out of bed over this, why not keep to the simple rule of believe nothing around rumours or speculation & just wait for an announcement from the club , it is as simple as that .
The announcements I referenced above never came from the club they came from the media. Our gaffer said a medical was taking place for a new signing. Did he say something like it should be announced at the weekend or did it not say that at all? Either way, nothing from the club has been communicated on official channels. So we can raise our fists and stamp our feet but until a contract is fully signed we won’t get an announcement. I’m struggling to see what’s wrong with that personally, other than as football fans we’re all notoriously inpatient.
He did say that it should be announced tomorrow (Saturday). That was probably a bit naive on his part - he doesn't understand our fans' obssession with announcements and statements.
Sounds like what has happened to me. I'm sure next time he'll keep quiet until paperwork is officially signed.
Our fans love a good statement! Player leaves, "we need a statement" We lose a football match, "we need a statement" DPD van pulls onto Grove Street, "we need a statement"
I am waiting for the BFC statement on Amazon putting their annual subscription up £16 a year but monthly subscription £1 a year.
I was just asking if anyone knew what was going on, Duff mentioned it himself via Radio interview and gave the impression is was close. There is no fist raising or foot stomping on my part I was just asking a simple question.....
Don’t get this criticism at fans being inpatient. I’d understand if it was say the first day of preseason but it’s literally the first game of the season this Saturday and as much as I’m a big fan of Jordan Williams, the kid is no where near match fit or didn’t look so last Saturday or against Harrogate. Therefore we only have one right wing back and at that he’d be lucky to play about 60 mins this Saturday. Plymouth are a good side at this level, they were very much dark horses last season and they’ll probably be up towards the top half of the table this season. Don’t think it’s so much of a bad thing to have a bit of concern regarding getting players in.
