If I were a professional footballer, I'd love it if I got slagged off by Hemsy on here. It would be like a badge of honour, a solid confirmation that I was a very good player.

I've no idea how good this Scarlett kid is going to be, and that's an irrelevant question, because it's about how good he would be right now, in League 1, his first taste of proper mesters' football.

An interesting comparison is Harry Kane - when he was 18 like Scarlett he went on loan to Leyton Orient in League 1. His scoring record was worse than James Norwood.

I'd prefer the club to stick to the model they said they wanted to and was going to. I'd prefer Neerav to stick to what he said he was going to before selling Morris with 2 years ago on contract. I'd prefer Jean Cryne to explain how this signing the club goes back to what it was under Patrick? How

I'd like people to stick to what they said. We aren't happy the club are signing unfit players was the comment of a lot on here and Barnsley fans. We've signed not one but two footballers that are miles off it. Im not as old as some on here but I can't remember a footballer at this club ever looking so bad on a photo as Saturday.

The club have one full training session to go. The squads awful and then they go and sign players like this. One year contract. Awful.

I'd prefer to to do something but I'd probably get banned if I said it

The original plan the new board set out also didn't include signing loan players. They wanted to just get younger players from around Europe then develop those and sell them. Not developing other clubs youth players for them.

So you say you don't want the board to break their model but yet at the same time you do? I'm confused

They admitted to the fans we needed experience. That's what they've brought in. Simple

I’d prefer it if you didn’t talk about signing people based on the data/stats based system and then ignore the stats/data around a player.
It’s very tiresome to feel obliged to prove you wrong continually and then see you ignore all reason.
It’s ok to be wrong. It’s ok to have an opinion and for others to call you out on it and you to say “actually I was wrong, I appreciate your feedback” rather than just ignoring anything or doubling down on your crackpot bull sheet.
I have no idea why you want to be a member of this forum. Why not just set up a website/YouTube channel called Higgy’s Football Opinion and see how many views you get. Come back to us when you’re getting a thousand views a video and they’re not all down voted to oblivion.

I really do despair at times. I am not sure how Higgy can say goals are not representative of anything. If you are a forward and not scoring then you are not producing or contributing, what an absolutely stupid statement. The goal scoring record at all levels by this 18 year old is about as good as mine at the same level, and I can categorically say I have never played professional football.

    I appreciate this thread.
It makes no sense to me as it was started by and largely populated by the only poster I have on ignore. The only other one I ever had on ignore has a bridge named in his honour, but he's gone.
Fortunately this poster tends to follow this same MO, starts a provocative thread and then pokes the bears that comment on his preposterous responses.
But as they are started by him, they are easyish to avoid.
My worry is that if he expands beyond his own threads, the forum will become unreadable due to the number of gaps in its flow.
Can we not just have a sub board where all these posts go, then those who wish to partake in being baited by drivel can visit it. The rest of us can enjoy vague sanity the way it used to be?

Ones a match photo the others a set.

Its the other photo's a match one where he looks old and red.

Mido never looked like that. Even on the worst weather day on the academy pitch. Always looked good. Even when getting out of the Rolls Royce.

FWIW I’m personally not offended or annoyed by the post or following comments. I don’t feel baited, it’s just an opinion. Often a bat$hit opinion, but still just an opinion.

I used to agree, but not anymore. I don't think it's just his opinion. I think he's just a troll disguising it as opinion. Nobody can be this dense whilst facing facts & figures without a touch of discourtesy
