    Defence and midfield looks good I think.

    Look a bit weak up top but I’m looking forward to seeing what Aitchison can do. And, like others have said, there’s probably a high chance Cole and Norwood will be swapping places around the hour mark. Hopefully Devante has just rattled in his third by that point. I can dream huh?

    I think this is Coles last chance saloon, If he doesn't shape up this season he'll not be playing EFL next year, he'll be in non league or some lower ranked foreign set up.

    Probably because he’s the laziest player I’ve ever seen . Not once did he put a full shift in last season . Should have got rid and kept Chaplin

    That was last season. It was in the past. He's here, he is a Barnsley player. They all start with a clean slate, will you be still saying this if he scores 20 this season?

    No surprises there if you've followed the preseason games, with the possible exception of Hondermarck not making the bench. Williams won't last 90 minutes, but I guess Duff believes McCarthy can do a job there. Personally I believe Hondermarck is a long way from being a professional footballer, but there you go.

    Helik played 20 minutes in preseason. He was never in contention.

    For those complaining about Cole, who did you think we were going to play? Who do you think we have as an option?

    I agree it's a clean slate but he's 26 and struggled at this level before. He won't get any better and he won't score 10 let alone 20. I won't slate him if he puts a shift in

    I’d play marsh before cole . In fact I would play our lass first . There’s Norwood . Even a half fit Norwood must be more effective than cole on last seasons efforts .
    Anyhow, I hope I’m eating humble pie later !

    I don't particularly rate Cole, but Chaplin hit 9 in 39 appearances for Ipswich last season. Cole's last stint at this level yielded 17 in 77 for Fleetwood, which is pretty much an identical return.
