    Plymouth in reality should have got in the play offs last season but they fell away at the end. Granted its only the 1st game of the new season but if we don't make anymore signings then I expect that we're going to be towards the bottom of the table.
    Duff and Patterson have their work cut out trying to assemble a competitive team from this lot!

    We look like a team that needed a longer pre-season. If we bring any more in, and we need some more bodies, I think this might be a bumpy start.

    The same people who recruited most of the players on show today are still in place I wouldn't pin my hopes on them suddenly finding some half decent players between now and the end of August

    This is as bad as anything poya dished up . Score should at least 5 nil . we look worse than last year . That takes some doing !

    Agreed. Make one error and you're responsible for conceding a goal. A forward by comparison can mess up for 89 minutes and then score one goal and all is forgiven.

    Anyone else getting that sinking feeling this might actually be a long hard season. I was enthusiastic with the signings we’ve made but looking at the team playing it’s becoming obvious we don’t have enough perhaps even for this division. Early days I guess -and I know we have only played 1 hour of competitive football but we look hopeless upfront and at the back and with the transfer tin empty I’m not sure how we can improve on this/compete with the rest of the division. Plymouth look levels better than us!

    ah well at least Wednesday are losing.

    Too early to tell - first game with a group of players who dont really know each other very well against a good side and still with a relegation hangover but first signs not that encouraging

    Yep. We didn’t put in place all the things that we claimed that caused last season. Manager took an age to put in place despite position being vacant for ages etc. Squad unbalanced and in disarray. Just papering over the cracks still at the moment.
