It will be interesting to hear what his tactics were supposed to be. Kitching spent the first half kicking it up to either their centre half or goalie. That can't have been the plan. The midfield were dreadful. Benson was worse than dreadful. And when the commentator kept saying "kin ell" I thought he was agreeing with the listeners until I twigged that it was his name for Connell (who looked like a poor man's Luke Berry). Styles on that show is going down a league, not up, though he's a far left in a back 5 and should be played there. Cole, like Benson, we should just give up on. We haven't had a proper goal scorer since Woodrow dried up 2 years ago. No scorer, no hope. That was dreadful. Never mind we nearly got a draw.
Obviously disappointed with the result today, both teams could have scored more. With Plymouth probably been the better team. Have to agree with being disappointed in Cole, Benson and massively Kitchen, who I thought was really poor. But thought Connell was the best player in red today by some distance, Collins just behind him in second. I also praised young Marsh when he came on and showed abit of desire. long long season ahead, players to sign and looking forward to better times in the near future.
If Cole continues to be our first choice forward we won't feature in the top half of the table all season.
I was thinking the same' i so hope he doesn't come out with "we were a little unlucky" or "we created chances" etc' the most impressive thing about him has been is straight talking up to now and that performance needs calling out for what it was...
