It doesn’t mean I agree with what he said, but invariably some games aren’t always won by the better team just the one that takes it chances. We get that pen and convert and it’s a different game. Good teams don’t put in two consecutive poor performances so hopefully we put things right next week.
We didn't so much keep going to the end as get started at the end. We weren't clinical enough, fair play, but in absence of the attacking talent required, we (probably wisely) approached the game in a defensive manner, aiming more for the solid than the spectacular. I find the fact we probably should have lost by a far more convincing margin in spite of this, to be somewhat concerning.
Hence my point about good teams not putting in 2 bad performances. I think we are in for another season of struggle personally.
