I don't have the energy tonight but Neerav, Khaleed and Duff need to improve things quickly. Tactically. Balance of team. and more. Not good enough. New Signings. from Norwood (apparently played 30 minutes today. Not that he did anything) Cadden and Cundy. Awful Awful Awful We need more signings of quality. Asap. ALI and Jalo. Get at Duff on Monday. Ask him why you aren't playing. He can't have an answer not to play you.
I'm asking why he played up with anyone fella. I wasn't happy when he was signed. Awful awful But up with the names I mentioned today? Not that bad. Bad but a league down from those 3.
I noticed MDuff used all substitutes. Only seen the highlights but the attack looked all at sea. Never rated Cole and doesn't look the answer today either. He can't get up and head the ball for a tall guy or hold it up either from what I have seen.
Was waiting for this. Norwood did more in 30 minutes than Cole did for 60. He made a couple of outstanding passes actually, we didn't capitalise. Cadden going forward was decent. His crossing was excellent, it lead to the sitter Benson missed. Cundy was poor today, expect much better in the future. I noticed Dane Scarlett was on the bench for Portsmouth today. Kept out of the team by Colby Bishop, who's never played higher than league one. Interesting.
In my opinion Micheal Duffs got to take the blame too. We are tactically not at it. The way we attack with the CBS going high isn't it? Won't ever be it with these players. that midfield 3? together?
I’m guessing, as always, you’re ignoring the part of a post that might not help your argument. I’ll highlight the bit that should be important to you: “I noticed Dane Scarlett was on the bench for Portsmouth today. Kept out of the team by Colby Bishop, who's never played higher than league one. Interesting.” Sounds from a lot of people who saw the game (however they did) that Norwood looked decent. Of course point scoring about who went to the game is important to you. FYI I didn’t go to the game.
Would you like to make an actual rebuttal? Norwood looked decent, lively. Made 2 great passes. Cadden looked alright, made a number of fantastic crosses - 2 of which we shouldda scored from. Looks a bit dodgy at times at the back, like we said he would because of how he plays.
Genuinely what language is that written in? "I'm asking why he played up with anyone fella" what the hell does that mean? "But up with the names I mentioned today" what the chuff is that? "Bad but a league down from those 3" huh? How is that a complete sentence? What are you talking about?
I'd bet Duff would have an answer for ALI and Halo. He takes training, decides tactics and chooses the team (presumably). If he doesn't have an answer, I'd be disappointed!
Norwood was best player on the pitch when he came on. I really hope iseka can show what he's made of because I'm confident if he can be arsed he will rip this league apart. Benson is ****. So is cole. We need a David Davis type player in the middle if we want Connell to do his job.
It wasn’t good yesterday but to single out Cadden and Norwood shows you up as usual. Just an agenda you won’t ever change from. They weren’t exceptional but were a million miles away from being amongst the worst on show. Cadden put more decent crosses in over that 90 minutes than we did from the left channel for most of last season in total. Norwood needs to get match sharp but he did ten times more in 30 minutes to unsettle their back line than Devante Cole did in twice the time. I do agree I’d prefer Leya Iseka over Cole - though I’d prefer a cardboard cutout of Timmy Mallet over Cole so that says next to nothing. We desperately need another centre forward into the club. You also ignore the point made about Dane Scarlett. As it doesn’t assist your argument. FWIW I expected us to lose yesterday. Plymouth are strong at home - mainly because of how far most teams have to go to get there. Eight hours as it was for us on a coach will inevitably not help a team, and we looked quite lethargic and leggy throughout. It came as no surprise. I read with interest that Duff, whilst bemoaning the lack of award of a penalty (and it was an absolute stone Waller), whilst not going in heavy at the team, made some interesting comments post match. Openly said that we had worked tactically on passing the ball between the wing backs and centre backs and that the players had not done so in the game; acknowledged dragging off Cundy as he was getting isolated too much - he’s clearly not afraid to make a decision. It’s blatantly obvious we need forwards. Duff is neither blind nor stupid so he will know that starting midfield three needed more bite - Wolfe in for Benson or even Styles would toughen us up - and we should see someone through the door in the coming weeks. I think we will see (well, I won’t, foolishly booked a trip to London with the Mrs hoping we’d be away before the fixtures came out) a different performance and lineup on Saturday. If it is as leggy as yesterday, we can worry slightly more (though it’s still too early to panic) - though I expect a lot more energy and more evidence of Duffs tactical approach. We may or may not win the game - but I’m still confident we have the right man to improve us as the season goes on. He has a record of doing that, he knows the league, he knows what we require. And he isn’t shy of acknowledging that publicly.
Probably because he came from the arsenal accademy. I think a few fans think benson could come good not sure what there basing that on? One free kick in a freindly.
I don't know about anybody else, but when I don't have the energy. I forget about everything, have a cuppa and a lovely sleep
