I don't mind crypto but Hex have you jumping through hoops if you want some. You've to download something, buy something then swap it over. I think if it was available on a more simple platform like Etoro it would be more popular.
It's very simple really. Crypto currencies are set up by grifters. Grifter - pickpocket, a crooked gambler, scammer, or a confidence man. Grifters target the gullible (marks) and they succeed because ‘there’s a sucker born every minute.'
It wouldn’t have been a crazy amount of money. Would have been fun to watch given how much on the radar it will be. And after backing Norwich and Man Utd this weekend, foolishly, better than backing my self proclaimed football knowledge. Also, I think crypto (the good ones) is starting to stabilise slightly after the crash. Think 2023 will be a positive and any coins still around in 2024 will have made people buying them in recent years a decent return.
Speculative fun giving there’s all these nut jobs on line suddenly saying they’ll be buying shirts, flying in for games, etc. Sometimes the quacks are right. Would have been nice to be on the ride with them with £50 or something.
Some are set up by grifters. But the technology is the future of how we will transact with each other. The problem is that retail investors can’t tell the genuine crypto from the scams, and therefore can lose a tonne of money on them. I would steer clear of anything that is purely a currency / store of value, and only ever look at crypto assets that have utility and solve a problem.
