What’s our strongest line up do y’a reckon???

We need a new striker. The idea is to get balls into the box and so an old wise head who can get on the end of stuff would be a good idea.

I think we should be able to pick someone like this up for a reasonable price. Possibly someone who is prepared to take a step down from the championship.

Someone like Tom Eaves would have been ideal had Rotherham not bought him, Sam Vokes similarly so

 

I always think that you should start the game with your best players on the pitch. We were much better in the second half with Connell on. I'd try a midfield of Benson and Connell as holding players and Thomas and Styles as attacking midfielders. That means one up top (Norwood with Cole as sub). I don't think the other strikers are much good, but may be wrong. It also means wing backs pushing on when we're at home. I can see lots of tight games with the odd winning goal from midfield and set-pieces.

 

By definition this season I don't think we will have a BEST 11.

We will need two formations which potentially will need someone that can play DM and AM. Duff COULD play Thomas and Connell in both but not sure it would be wise with Thomas. Connell can play DM and CM I would be pretty certain.

I think Balance would go above any 11 for me. Anderson Helik Cundy (He isn't even a good footballer) it would be 1 of in this formation. tactical approach.

In the 3412 I would pick Aitchinson or Thomas over Wolfe I think. I've seen what Thomas offers in there. Could Aitchinson offer the directness with more final third quality? I haven't seen him enough.
