It's an hour down the road, hour and 15 at most. Easy trip on the train. After all the (justified) clamour for "twenty is plenty" it's duly been made 20 quid a ticket. And it's against a potential top 6 rival. And if, like me, you're not as keen on home games for the time being for whatever reason, this is one of our nearest away games. To top it off, el scorchio is the weather forecast At this rate we'll have barely more than what we did at Plymouth - about 250 miles further away! Get yourselves down to Derby on Saturday.
One of my closest, but ain't gonna know till the morning if I can get out of work early enough, bleeding annoying! Will there be pay on day?
If you going to play football when it's peak holiday time then you should expect to see reduced attendances. I'll be fell walking in the Dales this weekend but back at Oakwell for the next home game.
I’m away this weekend so won’t be there but that’s a poor turn out so early in the season. Think there are a few factors why. It’s holiday time, the poor performance at Plymouth, the lack of signings that we obviously need and also the fact that people have been to Derby loads of times before and we never seem to get anything there in recent times.
I don't believe EMR - who operate most of the services between Sheff and Derby - are taking part. Appreciate that doesn't help you, looking at your username, if you want to go...
Came up from Farnham to Barnsley for the Cheltenham game Coming up in 2 weeks for the Wycombe game the £20 is almost insigificant compared to the cost of travel for me - I have done it in the past and continued to Wombwell after the game but Im not doing 3 weeks in a row at todays fuel prices + Ive things to do at home as well I cant afford 3 weekends away in a row
I suppose that's fair enough given they're now apparently clear to spunk what must be ludicrous money to entice the likes of Hourihane and Collins to drop down to L1. Just thought this was a prime opportunity for a packed away end roaring the lads on against those shysters. Apparently not.
As the season has started so ridiculously early I'm embroiled in weddings & festival gigs into mid September. I might make a home midweek gig at best up to that point. Following what I can in the meantime via iPlayer.
From Derby's site........ "Tickets will go off sale IN-PERSON 15 minutes after kick off" So there's a good chance there will be pay on the day for Away supporters too?
Horse to water n'all that.. The jury is still well and truly out on the 'new board'. For plenty after last season, if the love affair isn't over its on the wane.
Don't go to many away games, but have been to Derby before, the 4-1 defeat and ultimate relegation under Jose
