We are generally uninformed by the club. we're apparently 6,7 or 8 million in debt (depends who's telling us) we sell 3 players for fees and substantially cut the wage bill but we're stil 6,7 or 8 million in debt.
despite a complete change of management from the tea lady to the current owner in the last 20 years we still operate like MI5 on transfer fees, wages sponsorship deals and indeed anything where the fans could possibly add 2 and 2 to make 4 to hold the club to account. as someone on here said brilliantly we owe a couple of million and were going out of business and folding but the likes of Derby,Wendies and plenty of others owe cazillions and carry on regardless. Time for a more open and honest approach fromm BFC pls

Nobody has ever said debt. The £7/£8m figure is a drop in revenue through relegation, meaning you have to recoup that somewhere to fund your fixed outgoings.

Selling players, and getting them off the wage bill, helps, but it needs more than we've seen leave so far to allow us to bring in some of our targets.

    - I think the question the OP is alluding to is - 'Is the club in good hands?' -

Opinions eh? I sat in same WSL block as usual - I thought the West was busier than normal but the East and Ponty looked positively empty in patches.

Away end didn't look that full ;-)

Well it might just be perspective because when I was sat in the East stand it felt empty all around me last season and the Ponty looked sparse.
While it was by no means a full house on Saturday it looked fuller, but maybe it was just looking at it from a different angle.

I don't experience a lot of the matchday problems, as I watch most of my games from 5K+ miles away on iFollow (I wish it would bloody stop freezing at vital moments!!!). My last games were in August 2019, before the plague. Hopefully, I'll be back for some games this season. When I do attend, I go into the Hospitality Suites, so again I do not experience a lot of the matchday problems.

So for me, it's two games into the season and Duff has a 50% win rate. :)

I don't like what I've heard so far, but I'm waiting to for an update before deciding.

The Hex situation is the only thing I have an issue with, but it is a large issue & makes me question the decision making. Want to see at reply to what @Loko the Tyke has posted on that.

Think we are hanging out for a better price on Helik than Posnan have offered. I don't think we'll get top bucks for Styles, as he was useless last season in the main & has not put in a performance thus far. Looks like a ghost of a player wanting to get away, but that is not helping him. A few international appearances will not fool anyone. If you want to get a move, put a shift in. Not seeing it Callum.

Sure. But I was replying to @Juddy G season ticket numbers. That was the reason I quoted him.

Ok think av seen it described as defecit not debt bt as you mentioned if the sale of players and the cut in wages "helps" then the club could say so and maybe some positive news may negate the question of are we in good hands...I have seen us in the old Div 4 days and we've come a long way since then.....

Do people have short memories or something? Do they not remember administration under Dennis or when the Mayor was in charge?? We have been in far far worse places not too long ago and the the club is still running in roughly the same sort of position it was then......

3/10/2002......almost 20 years ago, so if you're under 30 it probably doesn't have an impact and if you're at the other end of the spectrum, then your focussing on where u put your keys n your phone rather than trying to remember 20 years ago!

Did you see that good looking fair haired fella nearly pull off that stunning catch, 2nd half, WSL?

Shredded back of his calf on landing, so I'm told. Dunt half hurt. :)

I did actually. We were upper but only about 20 seats along towards the half way line. Saw someone shove all kids out of the way just to get a touch of the ball. Sounds like it serves him right, hahaha
