Chris Wilder has eluded to making changes to the side that were defeated by QPR on Saturday. He's looking at giving players who need match fitness a run out. I haven't seen any comments from Duff, but I imagine we might do the same. The likes of Norwood and Cadden in particular could probably benefit from more game time. I expect to see Marsh starting, and if Leya Iseka isn't present, I think that gives us an indication of his future too. There's a thread about Jalo further down, however as he's played twice in two days in academy sides, I don't see him being involved. Boro have picked up 1 point from their first 2 league games. Giving away 3 first half goals at Loftus Road most recently, after a home draw with West Brom. The Riverside hasn't really been a happy hunting ground for us. However we were victorious there in the league Cup the season before last. Jordan Williams (who's likely to be involved tonight) was on the score sheet that day, as well as a rare Patrick Schmidt goal. I'm not predicting a heavy scoring game. I think we're more likely to play a stronger side than Boro are, but their back up team could well be on par with our first team. That being said, I'm going for 0-1 with Marsh getting the winner, from a Tedic assist
I dont see us gerrin through, and my prediction is loosing 4 - 0, i'm still goin though aving the day in Whitby, then driving up to match.
Just to qualify why I liked your post - it was all about the day in Whitby and not the 0-4 score line. Whitby and the surrounding area is just fab.
League Cup nowadays for League 1 or 2 sides is hope you get somebody crap at home for two rounds and get a plum tie home or away in the third round. Waste of time until then. When I saw we'd drawn Middlesbrough away I thought "Oh well".
Sorry for such a high score but i think we'll field a 2nd 11 team, no offence meant, just my prediction, C,O,Y,R,
I will miss this ‘home game’ sadly as I am currently basking in tropical Scarborough rather than Stokesley. Even my sunny disposition can’t see past a 1-3 loss.
I wouldn't be surprised if we won to be honest. Championship sides seem to treat this cup like Prem teams treat the FA cup now. Though I'd rather hope we give some of our players a run who haven't had any game time yet. Particularly with a very important league game on Saturday.
2-0 Boro from me as well, cant see where our goals are going to come from at this moment in time. If that doesn`t bring abart a 5-0 win I dont know what will.
