Be interesting to see what follows. I’m inclined to think they’ll just move on quickly, after an initial barrage. No money in it for them now. We’ll see..
Now this fiasco has come to a conclusion. The most pressing matter for me is what will happen if we don't sell anymore players this transfer window?
Maybe someone's already been censured, it's really none of our business. The right decision has been made to terminate the deal with Hex.
I hope so. For everyones sake. I'd certainly expect an initial toxicity and wave of attack against the club comms and anyone replying. Hopefully the investigation can be swift, resignation/s also and we revert to focus on the team, our financial situation and hope this is the last off field mess for a considerable time.
Came here to say similar. If our scoreboard is internet connected I’ll be amazed. Probably still got a coax feed to it.
Excellent decision. Well done. It would be interesting to know who made the disastrous decision to deal with Hex and who corrected it. I doubt we will. Nevertheless full credit for getting this right once the initial error was made.
Wonder if we'll be left with shed loads of pre-printed Hex shirts - maybe get Khaled scratting the logos off if so as punishment.
There must have been a lot of legal stuff that had to be taken care off, so I think the club acted super fast on this one! You don't want to rush with these things or you'll end up in even bigger trouble. Well done to everyone involved. Not that this sponsorship deal should have never been agreed, but that's another story.
You cant just brush things like this under the carpet, there is some serious incompetence in the board room. Getting a capable CEO in is just as important if not more than our striker search.
Serious questions need to be asked now over who made this decision. If it is the CEO then he is on very dodgy ground as it seems to be one big mistake after another
Well done all concerned. I was very very disappointed when I heard of this deal originally. Like most I wanted a reputable firm and to enhance our reputation. I'm still willing to give the board some slack....as I still believe our current custodians are an interim measure forged together to get rid of the incompetence of the last 3 years. That done we now need to carefully put our club back as one we can trust and be proud of. The coach I believe will be integral in this and again IMHO fan power has been listened to to get rid of the sponsors. Can we now please get some decent sponsors!
Massive well done to BFC, it was a nightmare situation to be in and they’ve taken the boldest decision, we’d rather lose money than change our morales, hats off to them, the 100% right thing to do. I’d expect Hex to take legal action against us now, this will hit the press and do them some PR damage. No company wants these slurs associated with them in national press. I’m not saying they’d win a legal battle, just that it won’t be over for a while. likewise we may have done ourselves some harm when it comes to attracting potential new sponsors. We’ve humiliated Hex with this move (and rightly so), other sponsors will be wary of that. On the other hand I’d like to think what we did says a lot about our values and that more people would want to partner with us. Existing sponsors might not have wanted Hex appearing next to their brand either.
