Just enjoying the quiet in the back garden when there was such a bloody kerfuffle

Anyway long story short, managed to get a very relieved thrush off a nasty looking sparrow hawk with ( apparently) nothing worse than the loss of a fair few feathers !
I know it’s nature but just couldn’t stand by and watch the poor thing stuck in the hawks talons!

The sparrow hawk's chicks might be starving now.

Don’t care! It can find another kill that I don’t have to watch:)

Had a cheeky fox snoozing on our wall trying to keep cool. It saw we were sat there, looked at us, then laid down… I’d like to think we shared half an hour of excessive heat solidarity.

Brave taking on a raptor btw!
