I just watched the game against West Ham on the USA channel. Ninety-eight minutes of sycophantic commentary about their return to the promised land, well deserved, they've been missed, etc. Sickening! It was similar to an article on the BBC website about Derby. How wonderful they've survived and football wouldn't have been the same without them. I hate the way some "Big" clubs are talked up by talking heads, and other clubs are left to fold without a passing thought.
Wednesday and Sunderland were described by Sky in their coverage of the cup game as two of the biggest clubs in the country
Much better than against us in the friendly! Having said that ( and I hate this phrase usually) they played as though it were a cup game.
I think they need to play every game as a cup game this season in order to stay up. Fight till the last minute, give everything. Spending vast amounts of money doesn't just work on its own nowadays, ala Bournemouth and Everton recently
Yes their (Derby's) fans actually believe that!. They think the majority of other fans are pleased to see them get out of the mess they were in. Well I think thats garbage, as surely most fans are sick of them and are disgusted at what they have been allowed to do, and come through it again as a promotion contender.
I think they’ll stay up. They’ve spent plenty of money & have a brilliant manager but I agree about the ‘deserve to be back’ nonsense. They were gifted that play off final by poor officiating.
Just look at this for example, apparently fans are sad and wrong to want to see them (Derby) get punished. And only 'real' fans believe they are so wonderful and deserved to be let off because of their proud history. And the most annoying thing about it is hes right, they probably will be back in the Prem again sooner rather than later. Pass the sick bag please!. "For some sad reason many rival fans wanted Derby liquidated. Wasn’t going to happen, real football fans recognised the club that graced our beloved game especially in the 70s, and founder members of the football league deserved saving. I am quite confident that within a few years, we will be back in the Premiership, so up yours."
Sickly love in by the media and what about that gobby plump woman gobbing at the ref when he went to check VAR?
The other month when they were playing their play off match i said on here,i wonder how long till they mention this should be a premier league fixture.I think it took about 30 seconds.
I hope when she watches it back she's embarrassed by the way she acted, absolute state of it. The blokes shouting about the push too, it's obvious he's going to see it on the big screen he's staring at so let him do his job. I found that aspect very cringey watching it, the plump lass and the fellas. But well done Forest, deserved win.
Actually, one of those clubs is the biggest, most massive, in the world - never mind the country! Bigger than Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Inter, Juve etc. etc. And the other one’s Sunderland.
