Benson was poor last year lets not try to rewrite history. Hes now playing a league below under a manager who he knows and worked with at burnleys u23s so i think thats a big part.

His "poor" start was down to Clarkie not giving him a free role. Once he was allowed to play how he liked he was magnificent.

Kid had problems last year, injuries, covid - he never really was match fit. But he was written off.

He missed a lot of pre season as he signed for us towards the end of pre season. He wasn't fully fit when he signed which Duff confirmed so was always playing catch up. He just needs a bit of match fitness and sharpness which will come soon enough hopefully.

He has been scoring at this level for the last 3 years, no reason he won't do the same once he gets up to speed which we all hope is soon.

His greatest impact will be off the pitch in training though, passing knowledge on to players like Marsh.

He was poor last year. It was his first full season of football in a badly failing team. There's a lot who would struggle in that scenario. You could tell that he knew how to handle a football though in his early games.
I'm not for one minute suggesting he's going to be a success with us but if I've learned anything in 60 years watching football it's that you don't write players off in the first few months, especially young ones.

I think the main problem for him last season was us signing a player who had played mostly 23s games bad a short spell in league 2 and throwing him in the deep end in the championship. I remember burnley fans on twitter questioning weather he was ready for the championship when we signed him. Combine that with 2 poor head coaches. There were a few games were application was lacking but i never wrote him off i think the drop in leagues and new head coach could kick start his career

Hourihane scored 6 league goals in his first 8 league appearances for us. He'd scored 10 by early November, plus a boat load of assists.

I reckon he’ll do alreight once he’s got his fitness levels up. A bit of Shithousery and experience is exactly what we need up front.

Could make excuses up for many players last season iseka, oulare etc Think been thrown in at the deep end from u23s football didnt help benson at all. Plus 2 clueless head coaches. The drop in leagues will do him well.

They are of similar build: Head, torso , two arms and two legs.

Norwood is trying hard. I like a chap who puts himself about.

Hopefully, if he can be arsed, that’s the easiest thing to correct.

Looking at the goals he's scored in his career, and there's been some good ones, pace has never been one of his attributes.
He might be carrying too much muscle in his upper body for endurance over 90 mins. I don't doubt his finishing though, some top notch stuff in the clips.

Conor scored six goals in his first ten games for us. I wish we had more slow starters to their careers with us.

People are giving their opinions at this moment in time on players, coach, team and games its what this board/football is about. Some think he will improve, some hope he will improve, some may think he`s doing alright.

I think Duff will pick and choose when he starts depending on the opposition even if he's used late on to use abit of shithousery to kill the game I think he wil an important cog in the wheel.
