    When anyone had the audacity to criticise Woodrow last season. Lots on here went mental.
    I was of the opinion he was poor and would have preferred him in midfield. As the main attribute was his ability and effort to perform better than others in that role. Palmer, Benson and Gomes for example. Maybe that's where his career going forward lies. I believe both woodrow and morris would have thrived in this division under this new gaffer.

    Brown was mentioned in the original comment, Moore has done well but seems to be at a new club every year anyway, so I'm not sure there's an argument that he could have settled here.

    The difference between Stones and Holgate is that they didn't play their best football in a Barnsley shirt. They moved on because they were clearly destined to play at a higher level than we could offer. The others mentioned were likely at their best for us. There is a fairly simple reason for it, if you're the best player at Barnsley most of the play is going to go through you and you'll get the chance to shine. They then move and find themselves amongst better players and have fairly average or poor careers from a footballing standpoint.

    Fantastic stuff is duct (gaffa) tape .. as a touring musician it was impossible to function without it.

    he’s been rubbish. Shoots when off balance, shoots when impossible to score. Doesn’t pass to players in the open. If he didn’t take penalties he would hardly have scored. Just because he had a good season some folk won’t have anything bad said against him, making all kind of excuses, played out of position, captaincy ruined him- no he’s just been gash and no he’s still gash for Luton :D.

    I don't get the reason for optimism in Woodrow coming good tbh, he had his good times for us but hadn't looked like a goal scorer for ages and had showed absolutely no sign of improving
