First fixture of the season to be above £20?We've been designated a category A fixture. https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2022/august/ticket-details-owls-v-barnsley/
My mistake. I remembered the statement from the club saying all tickets in August would be £20. I forgot that Plymouth was in July.
Probably shows how much contempt they have for their own fans given that a couple of thousand Reds will pay more at their place if they don't go for £20-£20 whereas at least 3 trillion of them coming to Oakwell will then have to pay full whack.
I'd hazard a (pure) guess at £26 as that's what they charged Charlton which they also designated as Category A.
I'd anticipate kop non member prices. Kop Non Members Adult £26 Senior/Under 21 £16 Student & Armed Forces £26 Junior U17 £15 Junior U11 £10 Junior U5 £5
I spoke to a Wednesday fan I know, his reply was “why would he agree to £20 when they will get 25 thousand plus anyway.” They really are weird those fans. I also then explained that they’ll blame Barnsley when we charge them £30 when they play here in the next fixture. I hope they don’t forget it was their owner that refused to agree 20 is plenty.
I think FA rules designate that away fans are charged like-for-like prices to home fans. Eg: seats behind each goal are the same price. That’s why years ago, Ken Bates made part of the West Stand at Leeds for away supporters as they are the most expensive seats in Elland Road. On that premise they should mirror the Kop prices.
