I honestly cannot remember voting in the 2017 election. However, I am still almost certain that I did not and the last time I definitely remember voting was for Tony Blair in his first term (the 1st and only time I voted Labour) after which total disillusionment set in regarding politics and politicians.

That obviously leaves an unanswered question as to why I clearly stated I voted in the original post referenced by Mansfield Tyke and what would have motivated me to, to which I have no answer .

There are a number of valid reasons why I still believe did not vote in any GE since then.

We moved to Italy in 2013 and I went through the process of registering on the Electoral register in 2016 to vote as any UK citizen residing outside the UK must do for GEs/ Referendums as the latter had been promised. I did this by Proxy vote as my daughter lived in Barnsley so was able to hand in my vote at the same time.

In January 2017 our Grand daughter was born and they completed a move early that year to a bigger house away from Barnsley.

Given at that point , since I had no family or physical ties to Barnsley, and was not born in Barnsley, I did not see any reason to continue going through the annual process of registering to vote, so as far as I can recall I would not have been eligible to vote in 2017. (That is the one key point I can not be 100% sure on whether I discontinued registering end of 2016 or at the end of 2017)
My wife did renew and voted in 2017 as, being born in Barnsley, lived and worked there all her life with family she had ties. She seems to think she alone voted that year via postal ballot.

There is also the fact that Barnsley is and was a safe Labour seat so there would have been even less incentive to go through the process of registering and applying for the postal vote. As regards voting intent. All I can say, is that I would not have, at the time, voted Labour so in that respect -guilty as charged.

It is indeed worrying that I cannot remember whether or not I voted in 2017, but unlike physically turning up to vote, using internet and post is, especially after all that has happened in the past 5 years, easy to forget.

I can state categorically 100% that I did not vote at the 2019 election because I definitely ignored invitation to renew my

More worrying though is that, if I did not vote in 2017, I did not tell the truth in that email, and, as I have already said, I have absolutely no explanation or excuse as to why I felt it was necessary at the time to lie by saying, not once, but twice in the post that I had.

    I am very sorry.

You don't have to apologise, you can post what and how you want as long as you are not abusive or offensive to others and with what I have seen you are not.

Others on here need to either reply respectfully or the easiest thing is not to reply at all.
If we all think and post the same opinions it becomes very dull, personal insults are though not acceptable.

    *Ahem*

There are so many lies and backpedaling here it's ridiculous.

You have previously claimed multiple times that you voted Tory in 2017. Now you are claim you cannot remember doing so but are almost certain you didn't.

You have previously claimed many times to have voted labour on multiple occasions yet now you are claiming you have only ever done so once and haven't voted at all for 25 years.

In fact despite you saying you haven't voted since 1997 it turns out you actually voted in 2019 didn't you and said at the time that a protest vote for the Yorkshire party is better than not voting at all. A very odd thing to say for someone who now claims they havent voted for 25 years

    Why so many lies?

    He's a tory...it's all very natural.

Personally I don't believe he lives in Italy...

Where have I claimed "many times to have voted for Labour on multiple occasions? Also, I absolutely did not vote in 2019 as I had not registered so was therefore ineligible. As I stated on my previous post I cannot be certain if I 'renewed' in 2016 or 2017 but I am 100% certain I was not eligible to vote in 2019

Why did you lie about voting for the Yorkshire party as a protest vote in 2019 then? How bizarre that you posted about having your postal votes and voting for the Yorkshire party if you were ineligible.

How fècking weird of you. Compulsive liar?

Ps, in answer to your first post. In the quotes that you have pretended not to see in the post you replied to.

Thanks but not telling the truth which I must not have done in either the thread dredged up by Mansfield Red or this one since they cannot both be true is not acceptable. If I did vote in 2017 I genuinely forgot I had. But a lie is still a lie intended or not. Supertyke though is bang ou of order stating I have said I voted in 2019 and that I stated I have voted for Labour multiple times.

You are making stuff up This invitation to renew stuff. Annual registration applies to non UK domiciled citizens. As I said I applied prior to the referendum . You are just **** stirring. Do you, living in the UK have to register every year to retain the right to vote?

In the end neither of us followed through and submitted postal votes. In any case I had not renewed so it transpired I was ineligible to vote. My wife did not bother either.

    Pmsl fècking brilliant.

Would you like me to quote your other post where you state a week after this post that where you tell us again who you voted for? Past tense voted. Not who you're going to vote for. Or shall we pretend you didn't say that either?

Why are you a compulsive liar regarding politics?

Do they send out voting cards to people no longer eligible to vote? I genuinely don't know the answer, it seems a bit daft if they do.

And then presumably send them out a second letter a day or two later telling them that their postal vote will be ineligible and so not to post it. And all a couple of decades after they last voted

I have apologised and can do no more. I have a **** memory at the best of times especially when it comes to past events dates times etc.
Any vote in Barnsley Central that is not for Labour is a wasted vote anyway so in the grand scheme of things it does not matter on iota whether or not I did or did not vote.
Anyway I intend to not respond to this thread you can post away whatever you like as you obviously relish forensically analysing my threads from years past.
