It wasn’t great. But a similar performance as the first, and 1-0 in our favour, and I don’t think we’d be having too many complaints about a draw. Wycombe are no Bristol Rovers either.
Deffo **** all could be done. A team miles in front of us even though they lost there last 3. Speaks volumes.
We lack any quality with our final pass or cross, far too many times we don't pick a player out when in threatening positions and like you say about Aitchsons great chance he just snatched at it instead of passing it into the net like Wycombe did for their first goal.
Bruce Dyer scored 16 or 17 that season and pretty much single handedly won enough games on his own. We also had Sheron and Fallon who contributed about as many between them. I grant you that this season’s forwards so far look like they’ll struggle to contribute ten between all of them. But the majority of what is behind them is a heck of a lot better than that team. We regularly turned out with Gary Jones and Chris Lumsdon; we can’t remember Chris Morgan too fondly due to what followed but he was obviously a good centre back though I’d take little else from that team and put it in this other than Bruce. Although Liam Kitching bombing forward does make me reminisce about Brian O’Callaghan…
