Why try belittle the best manager we had in 20 years footballs football sometimes just get it forward work harder than the next team.
Players knowing their job, working as a collective, shooting, scoring, winning & prepared to die for each other? Yep, that’s what I saw too.
Posts like this remind me of the sky commentary when we got to the play off semi belittling. We got there on merit well drilled organised far better football than the 2 morons we appointed after.
I think Ishmael gave us a team that were a Callum Brittain away from beating Chelsea. He gave fickle fans like me hope that the club was moving forward. He United the fanbase and put a smile and spring in people's steps. He was our Antonio Conte. He gave me a hope. However, that was lost until we appointed Duff. Now we have a top notch head coach we can't back. It's a disgrace.
That’s my worry. We need to stick with Duff long term, even though I think this season will be another struggle. I just wonder whether he’ll want to hang around with next to no support from the ownership.
You've read my post totally wrong, like Tarntyke said it was a compliment to Val.Some people didn't like his style (i did by the way) Wycombe are hard to play against and there'll be better teams than Barnsley struggle against them.
Ishmael quickly realised we were rubbish with the ball so his tactics were to get the ball upfield quickly and pressure the opponents into making mistakes. Very effective it was. We're not good enough for tippy tappy crap.
He didn’t ‘realise’ anything though. That’s just how he wants the game to be played to get results. Adopted the same philosophy at WBA and Besiktas with better players. Concern from supporters is consistent. I loved his time here.
Ohh he will yes, but not with us!. While it weren't always pretty under Val, it was still ace seeing us win regularly and have confidence going into every game. Even if we lost it was still good knowing nobody liked playing us, and to be honest at times our footy was a lot better than what we were given credit for.
