    Defeat.

I can accept being second best.

I can accept players making mistakes.

I won’t accept players just being disinterested, being outfought, strolling around lackadaisically. The second half today was every inch as bad as anything I saw last season in that regard.

If Duff hasn’t given them an absolute ******* roasting after that shambles then he isn’t the manager I thought he was.

Agree entirely. They were hiding in the game and then they just gave up and accepted the big misters had beat them.

The utter opposite of Tuesday and not acceptable on any level.

It was truly, truly shameful this afternoon; a real test of character and sadly we showed none.

A loss is fine, an abject surrender is never, ever, acceptable.

Some hard looks in the mirror needed tonight for the lads.

There was a scout sat in front of us in the east stand upper - he'd written Barnsley 'awful' on his little notebook. I'd post the pic I took if I had the IT skilllz

    We was ******* dreadful today.

we looked like a bunch of boys playing a man’s side in a charity match. Tuesday was one step forward today was three step’s back.

Did he go on to rub sticks together and make a fire?

Then shout "Akela" rather than "come on you reds"?

A quick grab of his toggle would have kept him in order. "Awful" might then have been in capital letters.

Who would they want from our squad? Maybe the groundsman or Vikki?

On holiday in Canada and watched the match with Wycombe commentary, and the two reporters could not for the life in them understand why Collins would pass the ball from a goal kick to one of our players for them to pass it back to Collins. They even asked if anyone could phone in and explain it to them. They just laughed every time and said it was a thing Wycombe would never do especially when opposing players were pressing.I can totally understand them and by the way we were awful.

Our coach was out smarted by Ainsworth today and Duff had nothing in his locker to change things . We have a squad that is as weak as it's gets .

It wasn't a total disgrace for the full 95 minutes though, we were actually slightly better than them in the first half despite going behind.
But admittedly, thats what makes the second half collapse all the more annoying and hard to accept.

I don’t think there was a lack of effort. I think we were fine first half we just didn’t score & they did when we had been the better side. I’ve seen plenty slate Jordan Williams & he was no where near his best but some of the hospital balls played to him were ridiculous. Centre backs floating chipped passes to him that were that slow he went from been in 20 yards of space to man marked by the time the ball got to him.

I think we got desperate 2nd half, the subs didn’t work & there was a lot of confusion after the change in formation. Sometimes when players aren’t confident it can look they aren’t trying. I’ve praised Duff the first few games but he got it wrong yesterday. There was no need to take Connell off. He was playing well & we lost all control after he went off. It seemed daft having Benson as the sitting midfielder with Wolfe & Hondermarck either side of him with freedom to go forwards.

If there is one positive from the match hopefully it convinces the board that the bench isn’t strong enough & we get a couple of players in.

I expect a few games like that this season. Wycombe are a clever side with a good manager who know how to rough sides up & make it there type of game. I was surprised both Cheltenham & Bristol Rovers came & tried to play out from the back & played straight into our hands. We’ve got a lot of young & inexperienced players & if I was bringing a side to Oakwell I’d be trying to bully us
