Two doors behind the Ponty open for people to collect/buy match tickets or collect season tickets. The poor little lass trying to handle long queues of disgruntled people was embarrassing ... poor lass ! Queues across the concourse, nobody knowing if they were in the right one, then being told after waiting ages that they should have been in the other. Four Wycombe lads in the queue waiting to buy match tickets because they couldn't pay cash at the turnstiles, apparently. They would have missed most of the first half. I missed 15 minutes of the first half, the queues were just as long when I got sorted. Is it beyond the club to sort out a fairly simple sounding problem. Once again the matchday experience is still at a very low ebb. Many heads at Grove Street need a wobble and a good slap to improve the situation. Someone is letting us down and doesn't seem to care.
I wasn’t but did notice massive queues when I arrived at about half two and wondered what was going on
We need to help a bit, buy on line get tickets posted or collect early. If you can't do that pay on the gate. I presume if Wycombe fans couldn't pay on the gate then that was clearly communicated. We can't just spend money on staff and sometimes staff is on leave or sick and they don't have staff on coat hangers just in case. I certainly think service on the concourse can be improved easily with a few more staff and tills but it's generally quite easy to get served before the match it's just for 15mins at halftime that's an issue and I can live with that I'm not that desperate for a pie and a pint.
The girl giving out tickets for the Leeds game genuinely looked about 12. Felt bad for her. Thankfully she found our tickets fine and took all of 15 seconds.
This is exactly what I meant in the other thread about little things that can be solved easily but seemingly the owners just don't care, happy to piss off fans and throw inexperienced and young staff under the bus.
Girl traffic steward nearly run over putting cones in front of the pedestrian gate yesterday trying to stop drivers driving out through thousands of people. Clubs fault or the driver? Like i say take responsibility for your own actions and help out dont expect everything to be handed to you. People who work with the public deserve medals not just minimum wage.
I don’t really think this is the clubs fault. There are many opportunities to collect or buy tickets, most not actually involving a visit to oakwell, if none of those are helpful turning up an hour early is an option. We need to help the club sometimes.
If the club is providing a service it should be able to provide it adequately in the full window, yes people can buy in advance but not always possible. Yes in general the box office do a great job but let’s be honest the club is a shambles
Only realised on the day that you can make it? Live too far away to travel? Want to use the service that the club advertises? Doesn't want to make unnecessary journey when fuel is so expensive?
Don't want to pay for postage to pick up something you should be able to pick up at the ground without the hassle many had yesterday.
Mixed opinion here tbh. Seeing as tkts only went on sale Weds was always going to be a queue yesterday for collection as loads wont trust the post in a short timescale and would choose to pick up at the game. I bought 5 for 3 households and needed to get them yesterday so could distribute them at the game to avoid waiting at turnstiles on weds. Can't just pop in as live in leeds. However I factored in a queue and got there about 1410. 5 min queue girl sorting it out was ace. Still time for 2 pints in fan zone. If you rock up close to kick off would always have been a push surely?
Paul chuckle. The problem is that their Barry used to do half the work and poor Paul can't cope on his own.
