We play: Ipswich Away Wednesday Away Portsmouth Home Anyone confident of any points from those? Ipswich and Portsmouth are unbeaten so far this season.
Can’t see anything from the away games but maybe Pompey at home we can get something, after we’ve signed our new strikers….
We've some really tough away days so far. Can't really see us getting anything from Ipswich or the Fowls. Hopefully get something vs Pompey. Hopefully with some new striking options and easier fixtures we can then start to climb up to mid table by the end of September. We need to be a bit patient at the moment in my mind, Duff seems to have a grasp on what is required. I hope the board can make an inspired signing or two to help him out.
I'll echo that sentiment. We need four signings but I'd settle for two if they were one midfielder and one striker. I think the extra striker and right back are nice to haves.
Based on the 5 games so far, I think we are going to be consistently inconsistent and finish mid table.
I think a right wing back is just as critical as a striker, I'm very surprised we have gone this long without replacing Brittain. Williams and Hondermarck just aren't the answer in that position.
We never get anything at Ipswich ( last win, I think, was when Michael Turner scored)- remember him? We'll smash Wednesday at the sty I think the Pompey game will be a hard fought draw. So, I'm going for 4 points from 6 on offer
Our home league record against Portsmouth in recent times is pretty good only lost once in 2001 which was a pretty disastrous season I can see us getting at least a draw and possibly a win - problem is by then we are on a 3 game losing streak as I dont see us getting anything at Ipswich and definitely not at the Sty Id take 3 points from the next 3 games to be honest - anything better than that is a real bonus
