Based on his cameo today I think he could be a useful player. Held the ball up well. Was really good at laying it off to the wide players and getting in the box. Also flashed a header wide at the end. I don’t think he’ll get us 25 goals but he looked like he might be a better option up top than what we’ve seen so far from others.
I thought he could have done better with the header but yes, looks like a player with a bit of something about him.
Excited to see him, hopefully he can make some appearances in the league and get a good run of games going
Come on and had an impact for me. Won some headers, held it up, had a chance. Keen to see him against League 1 defences now. Definitely think he’s earned a start. Norwood still looks some way off.
I didn't know Norwood was playing. Listening to Radio Sheff they never said his name in the first half.
He didn't get much of a chance to show what he's got with only getting 15 mins against a premier lge defence but he did look lively' certainly warrants a place in the squad for saturday..
So is this how desperate we've become. Won a few headers, ok. Lays it off for others ok. But who's going to score the goals. ? Are we asking too much for a center forward to actually able to score ? Someone who's just there to lay it off, but can't score, to others that can't score.. great. What is the point, I mean really? Do you know.. I give up.
SD - on what basis would you think that Cole has the makings of a good partnership with anyone? The performance against Bristol Rovers didn`t paper over the previous performances I`ve seen from him.
He looks a handful for defenders. Instead of Cole who just provides at best a tiny obstacle for defenders to jump above when they inevitably head the ball clear. Tadic used his size really well.
