Yep I tip my hat to all those who have made the effort and it's fantastic to note that they have some reward for their day out. My thanks to all.
Fantastic point. I managed to listen to a lot of it, and it certainly sounded like we held our own for the most part. We rode our luck at the end, but I guess that was to be expected away at the best team in the league.
Totally agree, monster of a trip to a good side and a well earned if (from our twitter updates) slightly fortunate point. If we can get one at the massives next weekend I'll be even more chuffed.
Unrunning brawl all the way down the street to the coaches afterwards. Some stupid kids, some really old enough to know better. Ipswich fan next to me got hit whilst minding his own business. Police were called in and had to get batons out.
Never saw Never saw anything and not a lot of the 613 are scum if anything great day with the Ipswich mob
Big shame, after 2 good comebacks and a very decent performance. Some folk just can't handle their ale.
I was talking to a Birmingham fan on holiday and he told me the story of his mate. It was after a game at Ipswich and when he called into a shop he was attacked by a gang of Ipswich thugs. The Brummie lad stood up for himself and knocked one of his attackers out.The Ipswich gang wasn't charged and the Birmingham fan got 4 years. Over the years I've seen enough misteatment of Barnsley supporters especially away to take every incident on there merits and not what appears on the tin.
Both as bad as each other in the trouble I saw. A group of Ipswich fans approached a group of Barnsley fans right in front of me. Stewards separated them at first and Ipswich guy broke through to try an attack this Barnsley fan. Unfortunately for the Ipswich guy he was met with a hell of a punch and promptly hit the deck. I’m not glorifying fighting or standing up for idiots, but this happened en route to where the coaches were parked, and it was difficult to avoid if you were near it
Respect to each and every one of you. First away point of the season and at a place we've a poor record.
Well video I've just seen that's on tiktok is 2 barnsley fans (quite well known if you go to away games) getting surrounded by ipswich fans and both getting lamped. Ipswich fans were the ones causing the trouble
Couple of Ipswich fans broke through and some got lamped. Then a few of our lot started acting like nobs too. Trying to get at innocent fans. Most people well behaved as always. We were in good voice again.
That’s exactly what I saw. Nobs on both sides, can’t speak for the Ipswich lot, but we had to walk that route to the coaches
https://fanbanter.co.uk/new-footage...ns-police-and-stewards-at-ipswich-v-barnsley/ Some videos there. How embarrassing from the home fans.
