Wouldn’t read too much into that, they were like besties at the end of the game didn’t appear to be any animosity at all.

There is a right way and a wrong way to move a player on and I think what he is hinting at here is that the club went about it the wrong way. I am sure he knows full well what our transfer policy is but there is no excuse for not treating players with some respect. They are human beings after all and deserve to be treated in the right way just like any of us do in our workplaces.

I hope lessons have been learnt within the club and we never have to read similar comments when players leave in the future.

Maybe his comments are something to do with the comments the board or Conway made after the play off season . Saying that it was a unsuccessful season due to the lack of players sold and values etc

I might be missing something here,

Ipswich put in an undisclosed offer to buy Chaplin.
The club informed Chaplin of the offer
    Chaplin accepted the offer.
    The club accepted the offer.

If Chaplin didnt want to leave he didnt have to accept the offer and i doubt the offer was for less money than he was on here.
I dont think the club would or can force a player to move or accept sn offer without the player being involved.
If we could Im sure a lot of players would be moved on quicker ie Iseka Oulare.
I am also pretty sure I recall that a majority on here said he wasnt big enough or good enough for us at the time.

Like i said i must be missing something and ive got all the above wrong, apologies if so.
