Please help - can anyone tell me what the “clapping song” was that we used to walk out to in the early 90s - Machin out era?

Oh my word, I’d put that well and truly to the back of my mind. Remember the Stadium announcer calling it the Oakwell clapping song’ and they tried to get everyone to clap. We were absolutely the laughing stock with that.

Thank you so much!! Sat at home in Gibraltar telling my daughter about the food old days!!

the joy of hearing it again has not even been dampened by us just going 2 down to Lincoln. Awful start, awful defending fir the first - even worse error by Walton fir the second.

anyway - how do I start a petition to reinstate the clap clap song?

Brings back a lot of happy memories.

I did cringe as a younger, cooler fan but it does remind me of a time when we were a proper club rather than the play thing of soulless speculators.

You don’t. And if you do, the Barbary Macaques will get you.

It was called the Oakwell Clapping Song I think. You could buy it in Casa Disco although I may have potentially made that up.

Do the apes like Klaxons? To be fair who doesn’t!! After fronting up to a big Macaques as I got out of my car with a bag of shopping from Morrisons I’m willing to take them on again for the clap song! He didn’t get my French stick he’s not going to stop my petition!

For a minute there, I thought I'd missed out on some hitherto unknown 80s musical trend.
Tunnel music. A bit like Garage music, but played in tunnels.
