They should be ashamed of themselves. Not one fit to wear The shirt. The club should refund the fans their money.
Tbf you’ve proudly not bought a season ticket, so they might say exactly the same about you. We might be a bit $hit, but there are lots of people working their ar$es off day and night for the Club
i agree and the hard work should be commended. I think the majority of staff at the club are working hard and I believe they care. Football is a results game. Off the pitch as much as on it these days. In that context we dont seem to be getting it right and the limitations the board have in funds and ability are a root cause. Ive said it before but peoples expectations will be better served being lowered.
The staff maybe working hard but supporters pay there money to watch a game of football and I reckon the majority don't think " we are sinking faster than the titanic" but its ok the staff are working hard, not being pedantic btw
Very harsh...were we poor? Yes very poor. Imho this gave our coach the chance ,(the competition does) to see what we have outside the starting eleven and help others get some fitness. I also think it helps the coaching staff see if any of the fringe players are ready for first team experience. I think looking at tonight we will have learned very very little of what we didn't already know about the entire squad. Duff and the rest of coaching squad have a massive job but with the appalling hand he has been given and the politics of our club he needs time and lots of it. After the first game I highlighted we were powder puff upfront...I still believe this to be a major concern. I appreciate they are working hard to rectify this....pace is also a worry. This season will be pure consolidation and mid table sounds very acceptable.
Isn’t the point that the biggest criticisms, and continuously most vocal opinions, comes from those who don’t pay their money?
We can all have narrow minded opinions when we lose. It's easy to blame a player, CEO and the kitman etc but you have to look at the bigger picture. That was a very inexperienced team last night not helped by two mistakes by the most experienced in the team. I don't subscribe to the theory that they didn't try, I thought the young lads put a shift in and kept going when down to 10 men and 2-0 down. Some of the comments about individual players is disgraceful, Moon being the latest scapegoat. the same fans were calling Mowett the same when he first came and were happy he went out on loan, exactly the same with Kane who now appears to be the saviour!
Strange how the owners don't say much. You'd think they'd be quite vociferous based on that sentiment.
The business model was sold to fans in 2017 as steadily increasing the quality of the squad. In reality, it has done the opposite, and will continue to do so.
Imho this is a transitional period (I know this phrase is used every time something is rubbish). After 18 months I think most of us could see what Conway etc were all about. Some people on here told me to trust the long term plan etc (which I knew there was none). The scattergun approach to recycling players was very short term and the evidence is with us now (from before). We now have an emergency board, who were needed to oust the inept and shambolic way the "previous" ran our club. At the moment we have debt, a very poor squad and a board desperately trying to do the right thing. We do however have a decent coach, very slow recovery is what I can see for the foreseeable. The old saying that its always easier to demolish something than to build something has never been so clear than it is at our club. I'm prepared to give the whole backroom and temporary board time, I hate the fact that we have had our club ruined and yes we are considerably worse than 2017.
