    I don't know tbh, many may choose not to go due to cost or in my case the 500 mile round trip ( again the cost) many may choose to watch on I player ( still paying) it doesn't give them no more of a right to express there opinion, or does it ?

    No it doesn't. There's a whole manor of reasons people don't go to Oakwell and it's up to each individual and their circumstances, and I wouldn't want to comment on that.

    But it's an interesting correlation between level of venting expressed vs. games attended in the last five years or so.

    This correlation doesn't extend to everyone though mate, let's be clear. Yes, there are some who don't go who are constantly critical of the club, but there are others who go sporadically (who can't afford a 400+ mile round trip from the south west for every home game for example) who will support the club and try and look on the bright side a la moi :)There are also those who do go who complain about the same players/issues every week - some even find new things to complain about with every other home game - and it was ever thus. Some people are glass-half-full, and some people will always see those dark clouds rolling over Grove Street. To each their own.

    Of course it doesn't mate. Nothing is ever that conclusive.

    Some of those sat at home are patient, others are sat there demanding changes, investment and refunds. Some at Oakwell can see the reality of where we're at this season, others at Oakwell can't get their head round not having £300k to throw at a new player.

    I think on here in particular though, and other pockets online, when you drill down to some of those most repetitive, loud, and negative opinions, they often come from people who don't attend. I chose last minute not to go last night as I whimped out with a cold, so I can't say anything opinion wise on last night's game - other than it's a pretty easy one to brush off.

    Realistically we are never going to play Champions league football so i think the plan might be misinterpretted by some fans.

    Year on year improvement has a ceiling for us, its not improve every year until we are better than Man City.

    It is ups and downs, build then rebuild, good times and bad, bring in good players and some poor, some good wins and terrible defeats, promotions and relegations, play in some big playoff or cup games.

    The main aim is to stay in business and always have our football club with some enjoyment along the way.
