The situation with Iseka is is the typical club trying to force a player to move.

Saying he won’t play is trying to force the player out, it may or may not be justified but is an age old tactic of trying to force the move.

He has three years left on his contract, if he does go it won’t be at zero cost to the club.

Iseka looks to be getting treated badly.

Why? It's entirely within his power to put the graft in.

Exactly. We don't watch training so have to take what we are told as gospel. But nobody can say he would be a worse option than some of our regular attackers who are really struggling. It looks a case of trying to force him out because he's a high earner and we are skint. Even if he was starting every game and scoring often I reckon we'd still be trying to get shut for the same two reasons.

I think that's the reason. Wanting him off as a high earner. You would think we would play him and he might score a few goals and gain interest

It could be either, my point is really that clubs are not naive when it comes to tactics to move high earners on but they aren’t able to force a move.

The problem the club faces is that the length of contract is a large financial burden for a player not involved in the first team and very lucrative to the player.

Honestly might just mute twitter etc and then log on tomorrow to see what’s happened today. It’s all a bit nuts really when you stand back and take a look at how invested we become that we have little or no control over.

Don't you think Coles work rate as improved massively under Duff? I certainly do.And so has his performances.

"Right lads, we need to tempt another club into coming in for Iseka, what's our strategy?"

"Never play him and call him a lazy bugger in the press. They'll be falling over themselves to sign him. "

It makes no sense. This is the third manager that hasn't fancied him, even when we've been beyond crap. Three managers who consider him worse than our other (meagre) options.

MD: We'll see who's here in the morning.....

Seems to me, his hands are tied and he hasn't got much of a say regarding incomings and outgoings.

Surely there must be some disciplinary process for players who aren't up to scratch beyond not getting selected?

seems like a really bizarre thing to do, calling him out as lazy on deadline day, if you're trying to move him on.

Sounds like the club are happy to let people speculate about Iseka because it fits their narrative.

I meant a more formal one. Why are we paying wages for someone supposedly not doing his job?Any other workplace you'd be disciolined, leading to dismissal of you didn't improve.
