All my mates said that he would find it difficult in the Prem as he had come from a Micky mouse league where he could score goals easily. They said he would find it harder against world class defenders: I think he has answered his critics. Absolutely amazing player that will score anywhere

Before my time was Butler, would have loved to see him play. I know he had a great record for us. About 1 in 2 for us. Wonder when the next time we'll have a player score at that rate for us with that amount of apperances. Jalo & Marsh hopefully... :D

Didn't the News if the World do an article on Mick Butler, pointing out his injuries and goalscoring feats?

I always said the only thing missing for Man City was a decent front line, Sterling and Jesus aren't world class, not if they're wanting to challenge the best in Europe - they've now got the missing piece in Haaland. l hope they knock Madrid off their perch for the next five years.

When I saw the thread title I thought we were signing him on loan.

you are quite right, they all support either Spurs, Man Utd, Liverpool, Leeds or Forest. There is no hope

Strange thing is now Barnsley are a total shambles from top to bottom. It's a great release having a Sky and BT Sport subscription watching teams who want to try and win things and progress. I used to hate Leeds with a passion but it was refreshing watching the Everton match the other night and a club with a full house, decent owner that is trying to move forward. Same goes for Sheffield Utd in the Championship.

Leeds fans go mental at every goal, the top 6 politely clap because its now full of tourists.

I don't think there was any doubt that he'd score plenty. I did wonder whether there'd need to be some time for him to adjust to Guardiola's tactics or vice versa, like Aguero did when Guardiola first took over. I'm guessing not...

Bargain of the century , I saw on Sky that Man City during 2022 have a transfer profit of £91m when their transfer fees in and out are considered, that’s unbelievable

Yep, and I still think if they held out a bit more, they could have got an extra 10-15 mill each for sterling and Jesus. They're selling their youth for 10-15mill too, Bazunu, Lavia (who had a cracking game for Southampton other day), Itakura, these youth whos never played a game going for double figures in the millions, crazy

Just watched the highlights he’s not that good really , does very little other than put the ball in the net , albeit on a very regular basis but he’s hardly the complete player is he?
