that Iseka isn't busting a gut to get in the first 11. What must his thought processes be? Big respect to Duff for the straightest talking yet on his position at the club. What waste of talent.
He's (probably) getting several thousand English pounds per week for doing **** all. To me, he's clearly just happy to take the money and is not bothered about playing football. Stealing a wage a tell thi!
I don't know what is true, but I would imagine if you heard from Iseka or his friends and family you'd get a very different story. One person's straight talking is another's propoganda and only 50% of the interested parties have the mic.
I know for a fact he's a nice lad and willing to put 100 percent in. And I can assure you it's nothing to do with him not trying in training. I don't have sources for anything but I've been told by someone reliable facts I can't say on here because they will be deemed lies.
Quite prepared to believe it’s a financial decision based on incremental wages/transfer fees based on appearances. However his own admission of personal problems last year makes you wonder if he’d just rather be back home.
Imagine any other business where a young man signs for an employer and his boss tells the world he doesn’t want him and insinuates he’s a lazy git. Imagine if that’s your son, not a very classy way of doing business regardless of financial issues. There would be concerns over his mental health and well being yet in football it’s ok to bully a young guy playing in a foreign country because you were willing to sign him on a long term contract and now regret it. What Chaplin said the other day was probably nearer the truth . It maybe the club are trying to off load him and saying things like he's not interested may force him to bow down to a move he does not want .
If Iseka put a shift in he would be in the team. I suspect he's at Nando's as we speak. Unless we massively subsidise his wages & let him go on a free there is no one in their right mind going to sign him. The letters C.O.N.W.A.Y. do spring to mind. It is what it is.
I'm also bemused. The op may have a point but then again just as likely not to be his fault. Conversation in the board room: agent; encourage him, he might come good, score 15 goals (which from the odd flash he looked capable). Fire you into play offs. Owners: but that would cost us £1 million. We want shut. Interesting to see what happens if they can't off load him and we don't sign any other strikers.
Good points about only one side of story being heard but I'd be really disappointed if Duff is just spouting a party line, particularly as it's not a complimentary one. He's usually not shy of just saying "I'm not going to talk about individuals".
Joey Barton got slated on here, rightly in my opinion for the treatment and comments about Luke Thomas. What's the difference here with Iseka? I'd like to hear from the player in question and see what's been going on. Is this something the media team can sort out? Or are we only allowed to hear one side of the story?
I definitely think you’re expecting way too much on your second para…. from any football league club….
This crossed my mind earlier. It won't happen though because he is 'out of favour.' Interesting correlation between the case of Iseka and James 'elbows' Norwood. We may not see any examples of Iseka on the training pitch but we hear enough rumours about him (an interview would allow us to hear his views, and could go towards setting the record straight); we've probably seen enough of Norwood already to know what he's about. Is Iseka's application in training really so bad that it doesn't warrant selection ahead of Norwood after what he did the other night? That said, Iseka is probably out in Belgium as we speak, a loan move to cover Oulare's latest injury. Stranger things have happened at sea.
With respect Duff explained the situation with Iseka. Its no different to any other club with a new manager. Some players they fancy and some they don't.He's not said anything behind his back and said it wasn't personal.I would imagine it gives Iseka and his agent chance to find a move to another club.
