This might even be "better" than Conway's "best window ever".

Or we don't have any money. I personally believe we don't have any money.

We might not, however I'm pretty sure buying the guy from Burnley is more expensive than loaning a striker from Boro or Luton...

The only thing I'm sure of mate, and I don't mean any disrespect, I like that you're posting again, is that those of us chewing the fat on here cannot be sure of anything.

    This is what worries me.

As far as I can tell the only cash we've spent (so far, admittedly) seems to be on yet more potential for profit in a position we're more or less set in, and not what the team needs right now.

Further to what I've put above. Portsmouth signed Koroma (forward) from Hudds on loan. SURELY we could have insisted on him as part of Helik deal - would be useful in L1. It's stuff like that which I just don't get. We never seem to have any awareness in transfer windows of opportunities.

I get your frustration, trust me I’m as pissed off as anyone. Infact I’m more pissed off because I know we aren’t skint, but that like has been peddled alot so some fans are more on the lines of “well we’ve gotta understand we are skint so what can we do?”

Its ********, the club had a really bad year last time out, but they’re not skint, not by a long shot. I really don’t understand why the owners have acted the way they have this summer. I understand clawing back a chunk of the 6M loss in TV revenue, but my biggest fear in all of this is that the owners want out and they’re pulling the plug on any spend until they sell the club. Then again that doesn’t add up, as they’d only be spending the clubs finances and not their own personal cash, are they still pocketing from the club even after their disastrous year last year? I’d hope not but I wouldn’t bet against it.

I can’t give you an answer in all honesty, I can only say I know some of these people on a personal level. Either way it’s concerning.

when you say the club aren’t skint what do you mean? Because club IS skint based on the accounts. This is a matter of fact.

Do you mean some shareholders have personal wealth? Perhaps they do but it’s totally irrelevant to the club if they don’t want to use it towards the club, which is their prerogative and clearly what has happened.

I have no idea how much personal wealth they have but it is obvious to me that they don’t have the ‘billions’ that was misrepresented in the media.

Without external money invested by the shareholders this will be our lot because all the assets have been sold now and the money gone…….somewhere……..and there is no money held by the club.

We are in a dire position

Has anyone ever seen James Cryne and Scrooge McDuck in the same room? Just asking.

The fact that no-one knows who really owns the club stinks for me. Anonymous investors who have appointed a new board to run the club? Who are they? Until I get full transparency and a clear idea who they are, their business interests and their reasons for buying Barnsley FC, they won't be getting another penny from me.
