Morris Woodrow Brittain Helik Styles + others (Adeboyejo Palmer Miller Scmidt Oduor) Or are we still struggling?
I doubt it, we didn’t sell styles just freed up his wages and maybe got a smaller loan fee. We’ve also signed 8 (lost count) players who are now all on the wage bill, some of those loans might be wage free mind. I hope we can manage with whatever deficit is left, the fact we spent money on a player yesterday and decided to loan rather than sell Styles is a good sign things are looking healthier. Selling Helik might be thanks to that.
a complete guesstimate, but I think we are 2 million ish short still, turning down bids for styles, offering him an improved deal and spending on someone is an odd thing to do if that’s the case, either new money has come in, we got more for Helik than reported or they think we can cope with the remaining deficit, at least until Jan.
Sill struggling I expect, because someone didn't do the maths on cost of relegation right when they gave Arsbaggy 6 months cos the cost of sacking him was a few hundred grand or zero with relegation clause. Reap what you sow.
They told a member on here i believe in a private talk after the press conference the cash injection would or had been done via a share issue. if it was done or had been done that way it would have shown up in the companies house accounts it hasn't it would be very odd trying to do it any other way as allegedly there not talking to each other. and frankly it is very unlikely some of them would agree to do it Parekh said at that meeting on field performance would now be front and centre or something to that effect. we have sold all of for better words our so called stars or crown jewels the last one left we have sent out on loan for at least all of this season so he wont be helping us football wise either we have replaced them with players nobody knew even existed they may turn out to be good ,very good or bad or very bad at this level of expenditure or non expenditure the odds are that the latter is more likely To quote Billy Ocean we are in the Danger Zone around 16th ? in the league without looking if we finish rock bottom or are relegated the people making decision's cannot have no complaints.
Halme n'all. 4 loanees. I reckon around £50k approx pw. £2,5 million in wages. I guess that's been halved with the newcomers. Then the Helik fee ?. 50% up front. And others. ? A decent return on the leeds game. Need to get Iseka off the books. Still struggling at a guess. Pure speculation on my part. Could be miles off.
She said spectemur agendo when they finally binned hex. Obviously she didn't say that when they fecked up by signing up to hex in the first place.
Im sure its not about making 6 million in transfer fees, rather making 6m in cuts through the club. if we just sold 6 worth of players to cover it we would have to do that every yrar
If we’ve not covered the deficit for this season, then it’s been an absolute disaster of a transfer window
What model do the other relegated clubs use? I dont see Derby struggling or Peterborough. i guess there is 3 things to look at:- 1. Sell players. This is a one off deal and while it puts money in, we have to remember that firstly we dont get all the cash up front and secondly we have to offset with players coming in. 2. wage bill reduced. This is more lasting but still is offset with incoming salaries. The squad would need to be reduced. 3. Cost cutting. Staff, bills etc would need to be cut. This isnt easy as a lot of these activities don't change if we are in the Champ or L1. Sponsorship becomes even more important but we screwed that up. Also a good couple of cup runs would help. I hear most clubs dont budget beyond first round so any runs are an upside. one clear problem we have is that the model to buy young hungry players that develop into highly attractive saleable assets hasn't worked of late. It seems our skills in the market to buy and sell arent great, our talent spotting seems not to be that good and we cant seem to attract players.
