With a brand new team, and a brand new manager, playing a brand new system. In all seriousness - what the f.ck have you all been moaning about? Long way to go but have a word, eh?
Plus a baptism of fire in terms of fixtures with all that going on. An opening run of away games that goes Plymouth, Derby, Ipswich and Wednesday. With last year’s playoff finalists at home for good measure.
Simple thing is we've got some decent players that need to be encouraged to play positively and then the results will follow. Don't get the fellow fan bashing though bearing in mind it's gonna too and throw all season long.
More points scoring. So weird. Today was a cracking result. As was Ipswich. But off the field has been a complete shambles for 18 months. I must set myself a reminder to start a thread next time we lose to bait those who have enjoyed today. It'll be great.
Not that it matters now but do we know who the players were that Duff mentions that we didn’t quite get over the line on deadline day.
I get what your saying but I'm hoping that we can snap out of this mentally and believe that were at least equal to teams that we play.
Don’t see the points scoring here on this one. More of a plea for a bit more patience after some supporters being so quick to write the season off after the closure of the transfer window. Might not mean as much if you haven’t seen some of the reactions over the last couple of weeks on all online platforms. Been relatively calm on here in comparison to Facebook and Twitter.
Regardless of mentality, I think three of those sides will finish in the top six at the end of the season, and possibly all four. It’s not accepting we shouldn’t compete, just that it’s a tough run of fixtures for any side.
Get something against Pompey (who are due a slip), beat Port Vale & we've potentially got an interesting season to look forward to. The board ain't changing anytime soon, so we might as well get on with it & support the lads in red shirts, not necessarily the ones in expensive suits..
To be honest the victory has been tainted a little for me by the reaction of some fans. Because I've criticised the club over the last 18 months, it appears that I'm not allowed to celebrate today. I'd better "have a word" about "what the **** I've been moaning about". Poor.
I don’t think you’re separating your own comments and opinion, which is fairly balanced and rounded, from some of the really extreme ones that the OP and many others will have seen the last 7-10 days. You’re not lumped in with those, in my opinion anyway. More Twitter related I imagine than BBS related.
Still think we'll be mid table and the extreme reactions after wins and defeats are fairly amusing. I'm waiting to be convinced the club is being run better but still really pleased with the win today. If we do well on the pitch it will make sorting out off the pitch easier.
