I've gone for Mads. Lovely bloke, always got a smile on his face. Improving year on year and he actually likes living and playing for Barnsley. I think the captaincy this season will bring out the best of him and the team

Lots of good shouts but I’ve gone for Helik just shading Solbauer.

There’s compelling argument for a few but Anderson gets it for me. Improved so much, never rocked the boat pushing for a move. Positive figure around the club. And now captain.

Mads for me. His personality is infectious, I love him. To overcome how poor his performances were (and some were really bad) and now he's our captain is fantastic. He's grown in ability, leadership, confidence and has repaid us ten fold in my opinion. He must have such a positive impact on rest of the squad, never let's his head drop. A lot of players would have just backed down after taking a lot of jip from the fans but he didn't, he steadily stood up to the challenge and has been brilliant for us. Did I mention I love him btw?

In terms of impact immediately, Sollbauer has to be up there, clear uptick in form when he arrived, he was exactly what we needed there and then.

Woodrows record speaks for itself, despite a dodgy last season here. Helik up there with one of the best defenders I've seen here.

    So I've picked 4...:)

Solbauer for what he did that first season and how he pulled the squad together, a fabulous centre half and should have been given more seasons. Proper captain!
    Helik was a real find.
Anderson's my favourite, not the impact of Solbauer but love his attitude.
