The cheer volume of police that were on display yesterday was unbelievable, a suspect next week will be even busier when the Queen lies in state, there will be millions hoping to catch a glimpse, I don’t know how the Met could commit officers to the 8 London, Borough games scheduled for next weekend. A think games will be off personally

I wish they'd just announce one way or the other now. They know what's happening, surely the best thing to do is give people as much notice as possible. There's been no official announcement about the midweek games yet, and we're just 2 days away from them.

Was the same in Windsor when we went to pay our respects yesterday, dozens of police everywhere. Lovely to see young kids laying flowers at the top of Long Walk too and though it was very busy you could still move around ok

No, we'd left by then . Saw the extra barriers going up and presumed there was a walkabout planned but my good lady wanted a cuppa so off we went

    No doubt
They will do what they did during the miners strike...unofficially draft in the army and stick them in uniform without numbers

Police saying they have enough man power to cope if games go ahead and upto Football to decide.

Could be faced with serious match congestion on the run up to the world cup? Which other international sides won't than us for.
For us, Pompey is likely to be a midweek evening match? Which might work in our favour, but rather it was played yesterday. o_O

While I appreciate there would be a queue that requires policing along it, the Queen is in one location not on the move so surely Cambridge isn’t affected?

It would be nice to know about it to arrange refunds and also Tuesday
