    No doubt usual sychophant comment incoming, I have been wondering how much of a drain on taxpayers money against how much economy they bring in but whilst I am no Royalist I don’t get all het up about it’s as I recognise what the Royal family means to be British.

    The British tourist industry is worth over £120 billion a year- the number of people who wouldn’t come because there’s no royal family is unmeasurable because the numbers would be so small that they’d fall into a margin of error when calculating such a huge number overall- in summary the concept that the royal family somehow attract an army of tourists that make a material difference to the huge Toryism sector is ball-locks.
