My workplace have today declared they are closing and giving everyone an extra days holiday pay for it. Unbelievably there are a very few folk saying they don't want the day off as they were getting double pay for it. What the muppets can't comprehend is that the rotas were done a month ago, before the Queen died when they were only getting single pay for it anyway. Now they are getting paid the same for not working. Crazies, you just can't please everyone, no wonder the big bosses could be inclined to think fëck em sometimes.
Not in any way anti-royal but thinking of a trip to the seaside. Do we think the f&c shops will be open?
Far as I'm aware he's not been convicted of anything as he ? He's just lost his mum so I find it a little pathetic to be honest
Wow that's poor didn't realise many people still had that. We get 25 days in addition to the Bank Holidays then a extra day for every 2 years of service upto a maximum of 5 extra days ( 10 years)
Our work are yet to make a official decision on it, if we do get the day off I may take the kids to the caravan for the weekend. If not relax at home with the kids. I have no intention of watching the Funeral. That isn't really due to my anti Royal views though, more just sitting and watching a Funeral for someone I've never met on TV seems a bit of a strange way to spend a day. Sure I'll see a plenty of reports on it in the weeks following.
Do you think he’d give me £7 million if I accused him of doing something he definitely didn’t do? Might give it a shot.
I bet a few will stay open for potential earnings from it. Price of fish and chips are going up though, like everything else though!
What I find pathetic is feeling sorry for someone as despicable as Prince Andrew , he can grieve in private
It would be a bonus weekend for sure though we don't do bad. If we don't get the day off I won't mind though I think some of our staff will be.
Some hospital appointments and surgeries scheduled for the 19th are being cancelled. But obviously it goes without saying that forced deference to a single dead woman and her role as an unelected and anachronistic figurehead is far more important than the health and lives of a few plebs.
