Non starter Hooky. Has been suggested in the past but the gulf between clubs and fans is too great.
And as for amalgamation and only having one club in the city. Won’t happen. After all Aberdeen have a bigger city to themselves and even they struggle to break the ugly sisters domination of our game.

Aberdeen took their eye off the ball and spent silly money in the early nineties. They've paid for it ever since. With the right backing they could break back in. However, who'd want them?

Dundee won the league in 1962 so their European dream would have been 1963.
We won the league in 1983 with us going out to Roma in 84.
Our loss to Gothenburg was the 1987 UEFA final. With Gothenburg being managed by Sven Goran Erikson.

Would you not agree the departure of Alex Ferguson was a huge reason Aberdeen have went backwards?

If you take all the good bits from the five stadiums and put them together to form one ground, I think you'd be looking at something like,,,,,,,,,,,,Plough Lane

Sorry Ian if I didn't explain properly. I wouldn't contemplate 1 club. (I totally get the rivalry.)
    Just a ground share.
If Barnsley ever contemplated leaving the town. That's be me done,

I've often wondered why Dundee FC's ground has a side stand shaped like a boomerang? What's that abart?

I hope that is the old ground as I think I saw a clip on tv of a new Plough Lane. Looks a decent ground now. Wimbledon back home.

How much is official coach travel when you play away at Dundee? Hope they set off in plenty of time to avoid the traffic.

I took this photo whilst I was up in Dundee a few weeks ago …. I was aware Tannadice & Dens Park were the closest 2 grounds in the world however I didn’t really appreciate how close!

Ian, can I ask how you guys in Dundee choose which team to support in the first place? I'm just thinking that usually clubs in the same city/town are usually far enough away that geography will have a huge bearing on who a fans follow(I'm thinking Moss Side for Man City and London for Man Utd, as an example), but the stadiums in Dundeeare so close to each other, that cant be the case...
