My nieces partner from New Zealand had it done in Turkey a few weeks ago and my wife’s hairdresser has been there as well , don’t know details other than they seem happy with it apparently

Nah he should just do what many men do...shave it all off. After all if it is good enough for the American Eagle....!
So if they transplant it from...ahem... around your 'old man' will it be curly and coarse?

Perhaps, he should get some guidance from that 'expert in gentleman's gooming and coiffeur' Michael Fabricant!!:D

Booked to go last year, but due to covid issues I ended up cancelling. Trying to re-arrange at the moment. The best one in my opinion would be ' Hair of Istanbul', however these are the upper price range for Turkey. I had booked and will probably re-book with 'Cinik'. I wouldn't be put off by the fact it's in Turkey, do your research and you won't get stung. There are bad surgeries of course, as with anywhere. If you join 'hairloss crusaders' group on facebook, there are plenty of folk on there who can advise. You can also book through a company called 'qunomedical' which act as a broker so you're covered in a sense, and can help you along the way, if you'd rather not book independently.

Cheers pal. I'll have a look for Facebook group.

I've got a budget in mind (£2500) and I've been quoted by one company which is under my budget but Im just wary of a few things. Appreciate you replying to the thread

    No worries.

One thing to bear in mind, the prices quoted will include accommodation, but you'd have to book your flights separately. I originally booked with Turkish Airlines which were about £450 at the time. Most surgeries also only accept 'cash' not credit card.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you wary about?

Be wary of some medical advice,I went to my GP and asked if he’d got anything to keep my hair in, he gave me an old shoe box:)

    Cheers pal.

Yeah was quoted 1800 euros but flights to sort myself.

    2 things wary about.

    1 - booking with a cowboy company / fake company .

2 - the cash only . The first company said that which made me thing of fraud / no comes backs with payments, but you've just mentioned that they all prefer cash payments only

Thats the last option but seeing as my head is the same shape as john merrick, don't think bald head would suit me :)

There was a Barbers shop up Sheffield road
forgot what it was called his name ,no idea if still there
He was famous .... so to say
whatever haircut you asked for or however you wanted it styled ,he would basically give you a crewcut.
cutting it while watching a TV up in the corner or looking behind him talking to people.

my mate used to go there and one day was up at his house and he said he was going for his hair cutting and i said needed mine doing so go too.
walked in the door for the first time and there was a youngish person literally getting up out of the chair crying and his mother with a horrifying look on her face looking at his hair.
think asked just for a trim all round and yes ended up short crewcut style.
